      • Rossi is Motogp and Motogp is Rossi. Most of the people are attracted to the sport jus because of him. The percentage is too high.

You need someone to root for to enjoy a good fight.

Was supporting Rossi and it was great to see him put up a great fight and nice to see him finish on the podium as well.

Offcourse there are too many Rossi fans... Easy to see why!!

Lorenzo and Stoner are equally good now and beating him.

But sure he's aging and it looks like he now only wants to ride on his own terms. Not unusual when one has won so much and had nothing to prove before joining Ducati. Now in two year with Ducati some just wanna right him off and his achievements and talent. We curse him after every race every FP and QP.. Then why not cheer when he does well.

That makes the difference.. i am a fan of motogp from the time of Kevin Schwantz, Wayne Rainey & mick doohan
I have seen rossi on 125cc 250cc 500cc and motogp.. so i wont say he is the best. if you look at his first 500cc season the did not fninsh lot of races and doohan groomed him. but all that is forgotten and that's why Doohan brought stoner in.

Anyways.. Kevin Schwantz, Wayne Rainey & mick doohan all were legends and after 5 years Stoner rossi Lor... all will be treated the same.. and the new kids on the block will say hey rossi is nothing.. Kupusi rocks and you will feel what i feel today

TV may say Rossi made Motogp famous but i would say rossi just made fans for himself and not for the sport..

I have met many ppl who dont even know M of motogp but have heard about Rossi. I have seen hell lot of vehicles with 46 on them. The guy did attracted lot of ppl and he might have become bigger than the sport itself.
I totally agree on that '5 years' thing but once he retires it would be a big impact on Motogp viewership, unless and until people find a new star, someone who could replace him.

And what's the story on Doohan bringing Stoner in and grooming Rossi? Sorry, never read about it, though I did read that Doohan acted more like a mentor. Rossi did pretty well in his first year of motogp class.

The ones who have actually seen Rossi in 125cc, 250cc to 500s to 4-strokes, would not say Rossi is not one of the best. Only Lorenzo has better record in 125 and 250.. but not in MotoGP.

Thats a news.. Doohan brought Stoner! I read and heard, actually from Stoner himself in several interviews about his family travelling in motor-homes around the world taking pains and sacrificing to help their son race and make it to MotoGP, he is a self made man, don't take that away from him, he achieved and earned what he wanted to and so he decides to quit racing and putting his family on priority. Where did you get this news...

Rossi is already a legend. Not many have lived who won 7+2 MotoGP titles. So for next 5 yrs, keep an eye on Lorenzo, Pedrosa, Dovi, Crutchlow, Spies... Stoner would be done this year but he's also made to the greats list already.

I am glad that you' ve been watching Motgp time of Kevin Schwantz, Wayne Rainey.

And yes, I agree with you. Lorenzo beat Rossi fair and Square in 2010. And even I think he'd be on CRT

                          • When an example is given of Rossi being beaten fair and square by Lorenzo/Stoner, it shouldn't be forgotten that the same guys (Lorenzo/Stoner) have also been beaten by Rossi fair and square on other occasions. As said before, all three are great competitors for each other and of course Lorenzo and Stoner are really great riders as well. Unfortunately, Stoner has decided to take his leave from this sport, so let's watch out especially for Lorenzo and Pedrosa for next few years as they are the future. Rossi has great spirit and on his day can still take down his competition, but he is getting old and not going to race for long.
