  • I was watching QP, so heavy showers , I thought Duc 1-2. It was so dissappointing, plus the track dry's out so quciky.

Nice to see Spies on the front row.

    • Great last 2 laps of MotoGP

Great rides by Pedrosa(gave great fight to Stoner), Dovi, Rossi(impressive in last lap) and Bautista.... Worth watching....

Worst part... Stoner's crash in the last lap

Cal was pushing too much... lost his 4th position by going off track in turn one and finished 8th.

Dont know what happened to Hayden! He was riding in 7th position and during the end of third last lap, suddenly he was 9th/10th... he finished 10th.

      • Good Race
        Nice ride by Pedrosa.

I would love to see last two laps again.

About Stoner, I dont think he pushed very hard when he crashed, pure badluck,. I think I saw him take wider line, dunno if these was a bump or some water .(BBC commentators this time, not Eurosports )

Rossi sixth, best dry race position.
And Bautista again going for a hard move move, well almost.
Last 3-4 laps were very good to watch.

Hoping for 1st and 2nd. Maybe he will make the Ducati competitive before the end of this season. Improvements can be seen in the ducs at very slow rate, but it is there.

3rd and 4th are bit of confusing, mind work . Hope whatever he do...pays him back real good...eagerly want to see him wining

For the 5th, Yamaha would be better option(according to me), as he makes both(himself & yammie) look like made for each other...

Here are my answers on this
                1. No, he won't be able to. This is on the basis of what ducati has been offering him so far.
                2. Yes he will stay, he's got no other options. Honda's door closed, Yamaha factory will certainly have a new rider alongside Jorge in the form of Dovi. There's no denying he's beaten spies several times this season now Tech 3 already has Bradly Smith coming in from Moto2 and to think of it, crutchlow might stick around too
                3. Rossi, if decides to take out his own team, would be certainly running a CRT and not a prototype since Dorna's new rules for 2013 allows only 4 bikes from manufacturer's. Yamaha's got 4, Honda's got 4, Ducati's already got 4, and non manufacturer would want rossi to beat their factory bikes with satellite machine, so no one will offer him his own ride.
                4. I see him struggling for podium next season again, unless ducati does something that Rossi can start fighting for podium before the end of the season

                • Inresting Questions but honestly, a bit too early.

                  1. Rossi's work is to provide feedback about what the bike lacks.Ducati doesn't seem to fix it. So he's doing his part alright, Ducati is acting like Govt offices.
                  2. Again, depends on the US gp promised updates by Ducati. They promise so much . So unlike Honda.

                  3. He'll stay(Hope he does).

                  4. Gresini Honda is my best bet(second best, cuz I think he'll stay), but would love to see him on a Yamaha

5.Yamaha (+46 for made for each other point @ Vijay)

                  Now I have 2 questions.
Difference between Ducati 2007(Stoner) and Ducati 2010 (Stoner).
Difference between Ducati 2010(Stoner) and Ducati 2011(Rossi)

                    haha...nice one
i've got simple answers for this one
for the 1st one - not much, as stoner pointed out..ducati really didn't seem to develeop so much as expected by stoner. So he was almost riding the same bike through out the years.

2nd one - they're still almost same stoner can still jump on the 2011 Desmo and beat the hell out of the competition. 2010 desmo would be as bad as the 2011 for Rossi to suit his style. So the main difference for me - the rider..or to be precise..the riding style!

                      2. Bradley Smith won't be coming to Tech3, most probably. According to the owner.
                      3. Ducati will most probably have only two factory bikes next year, no body is willing to spend on a satellite ducati, CRTs are a much better alternative.

                      @ Bull

He can't go to Gresini as he will be at the mercy of Honda, who will ensure that he gets updates much later, so as to ensure that he won't be able to beat the factory bikes.

                      • so based on above opinions, his options are --
                        1. rossi will be riding a ducati most probably.
                        2. if not, he has the option of riding a CRT, by bringing in a team of his own.
                        3. he quits motogp.
but making a team of his own, a CRT, will also mean a lot of work to be done ground up, isn't it ?

can he convince some other manufacturer, like kawasaki or suzuki, BMW or some other, to launch a factory team in motogp. but again such a team will not be instantly successfull ..

                        sigh !!

                        • CRT out of question for now(or not, spec ECU, god knows what devil that brings )

Own team (Yamaha based) more likely, Dorna can change the rules, cant he?

I wish he stays at Ducati, and Ducati work accordingly.

it's not exactly a new engine, it will almost be the same engine just with a few mechanical upgrades to alter the characteristics

in the article read the lines:
The only officially confirmed deals for next season are Lorenzo (Yamaha), Stefan Bradl (LCR Honda) and Bradley Smith (Tech 3 Yamaha).
                            here's another recent one:

                            • Bradley Smith has already signed a contract with Tech 3 last year to enter the motogp in 2013.
So this week Spies is in talk with Yamaha Factory to extend the contract and already Lin Jarvis (boss of Yamaha Factory) said their first priority is to retain Ben Spies, but under a condition he should produce good results and they expect more from him.
But for me Dovi remains a ideal choice for factory Yamaha because he got adopted to Yamaha and already showed his potential by taking 3 podiums and bet Spies on all occasions.
Cal informed the situation in Yamaha to get a factory bike is not possible so he is in talks with Ducati factory Team thinking he can win a championship if he is in a factory team???
Mean while Moto-2 rider Scott Redding is in talks with Ducati to get a ride next season with a satellite outfit.
Pedrosa is in a verge of extending his contract with Repsol Honda which may happen next week at Mugello. By scrapping the rookie rule its evident that Moto-2 Star Marc Marquez is into the factory Honda squad.
