  • @sukant: You might want to rethink that statement. Rossi has a huge fan following in the US. I always thought they preferred the American boys over him, but when I visited the Indy Gp last year, I was genuinely surprised. The infield, grandstand was covered in yellow with a small smattering of reds here and there.

@Motorbreath: Google Drexel motorsport, or drexel apparel. You can buy it online the last time I checked, which was a long time ago.

See Rossi fans are everywhere. But I was talkin relatively. Even Rossi has at times conceded, that US is only place (in MotoGP calender) where he can walk on the roads and not be mobbed by fans !!

And a GP stand will always have huge Rossi fanbase coming there. But out on the roads its different. Even this weeks USAToday, there is an interview of Ben Spies and he also said (despite winning AMA 3 times, and AMA is perhaps more popular in US than MotoGP) that he gets recognised only when he goes to motorcycle stores !!

You can get Rossi T-shirts in US of course, and I guess you have already given one such address here, but what I meant was that in general Europe is easier for all things MotoGP !!

      • ^^ Erm.. I think it was Schumi who said that, but I see your point.

Rossi specifically mentioned that, during last years pre Laguna Seca race PR events !!
I distinctly remember reading that on Crash dot com. Prob, lemme try to find the link.

Schumi also might have said it. See US race fans are notoriously US centric. Even AFAIK F1 isnt as popular is Nascar, Indycar etc.

Wich is why the organisers are trying to make F1, MotoGP make more inroads into US. Hosting Laguna Seca on the 4th July weekend this year is one such example !!

          • Regarding t-shirts?? Well here are few shops in Pune/Mumbai who can print any graphics on t-shirts but hell they are charging above 800 bucks, rather than going for such stuff I am thinking of getting ROSSI's official branded t-shirt. My boss doesn't have a proper permanent address as he is on bussiness trip so can't ship it thru websites, so the only way he can find 1 is by visiting local motorcycle showrooms and stuff.. It would be a gr8 help if any1 could suggest me motorcycle showrooms in/around LA.

And btw, Rossi does have a decent following in US.. I got few rare pics of Rossi from a diff forum in which he is posing with Michael Jordan (46/2 = 23 ) and Tom Cruise. my 2 cents on this..

btw, does ur signature points Lorenzo might screw up Rossi's 99th victory in Mugello?? just a guess

                            • I think 250s was the most exciting race today. Simoncelli should learn to honk & overtake And now you know why rear view mirrors are important

Rossi...he looked like Dravid of MotoGP today. Put his head down and didnt really push it. You could say he did to finish at 3rd, but he has done better, hasnt he?
