I smell something cooking up like what happened at Mclaren in 2007 before he moves !

These wet/dry races are irritating ! And can someone tell me how would the riders communicate on what kind of tires or setup would they want in the middle of the race before a switch ? As far as i know !I don t think it is possible..So when a rider is out he ll be knowing the best kind of setup he would need ! How can that be preplanned without knowing the conditions ?

Simoncelli was struggling on the wet set up and may be chickened out taking that corner which is why he kept on going straight instead of leaning.
Bautista was brilliant, hats off to him for his riding yesterday.

Nobody is talking about bautista's big moment after his incident with simoncelli? How the hell did he land back back on the safely but good for him.

Sigh....... Rossi, isn't king of mugello any more
He looked cautious. He was too concerned to collect the points rather than proving his skills. And rightly so, if he had crashed doing something stupid it would have been hard for him to be in the championship run.

Edit: My points from this race 107

Does this mean we would have four types of races next year? 125, 250, moto2 and motoGP

            • @bijay.bhai: I disagree...mixed weather conditions play havoc with riders and teams' overall preparations for the race! They can prepare themselves for either dry race or a wet race but I don't think it is possible to get prepared for a mixed weather race!!! They had dry practice sessions throughout weekend with only the wet sunday morning warmup. So a mixed weather condition in the race was like a punch on the face for the riders! Even riders would enjoy close racing as much as we want but obviously not by having these type of weather conditions

LEt's hope that the conditions remain dry for all the remaining races now so that we can enjoy some proper racing action

              • I loved watching yesterday race exp the 250. It was a completely a wet race. Wonder how the guys were able to go behind the bikes and take all that coming out of the rear. I liked Pasini, he had a good race and was briliiant. If you have noted, he was close to baut when he was catching Simoncelli, but once he reached near, he let the other two do the dog fight "Was ready to pick the pieces" as they say

Reg MotoGp, I some how like these mixed races, coz this brings how well the team has understood there riders and their riding. Stoner looked confident on his bike, Im seeing him so confident for the first time this year, ofcourse after the first race!

Did somebody note, at the podium, Rossi will first try to step on #1 then he will go to #3, I like that

Well, there was no 99th and it was not the 99 :-P

On the contrary Stoner wasn't as confident as he should have been due to clutch problems.
Stoner describes route to victory in Italy | The Official MotoGP Website
                  Excerpt from his interview:
                  ..........
“Once I got onto the slicks I found a good feeling immediately and I was able to get to the front quite quickly, but then I started having a problem with the clutch,” Stoner continued, “The RPM was going up to the limiter and there was no forward momentum. I just tried adjusting it and I managed to get it hooked up again, but it was still difficult on the corners.”

The young Australian went on to add, “It was a really hard race and I just wanted to finish it. I just tried to stay smooth and keep the same lap times even if I couldn’t ride the way I wanted to. On the last lap I pushed in areas where I hadn’t done so all through the race, and I made a mistake so I was lucky to hold onto the victory. But I think the team did a great job and we are very grateful for this win.”

Yeah Rossi was deprived of 99th but it wasn't the #99 who stopped him

Well all he could do is to entertain the crowd with his little prank after his 3rd place finish in his home race

This shows what riders have to go through on the track while racing. In the last race Stoner's steering damper was malfunctioning and he had to fix it himself which is why we once saw Stoner slowing down while crossing the finish line in one of the laps. But, then he went on to get some points.

So many things go behind what we actually see. Incredible machines, incredible riders, awesome.

@Leon: Yes, There are many things which go unnoticed in the races.
We sometimes just start cursing our favorite rider for not pushing hard and going for the glory, we forget the hardships they go through while riding in the conditions where in we common bike riders would be scared of going over 60kmph.

I truly respect those guys! Hats off to them
