It will be the torque rating and not BHP rating which will add the fun factor in this Bike... In our country there so many people who will go for more BHP rating than the torque figures. where the torque is actually what gives you the pulling power and BHP will fetch you top speeds.
the power to weight ratio should be decent... Its not a bike for Top speed and high speeds... since it is a naked bike, higher speeds will anyway have wind straight on your face and will be uncomfortable.. the sitting posture where the legs are bent(sporty sitting) doesn't invite long distance biking on this bike... This bike will solely be for fun and a little offroad... And finally it will be the Price factor that will decide the sales and reach.Vehicles Owned/Previously Owned

No! not the 125 - I was referring to the 690 and the 250SXOriginally posted by roshan3440 View PostDid u try a DUKE 125 ???
Correct me guys if I am wrong, In the video posted, one can see the switchgear lit-up as in Pulsars n the DUKE125.The que is whether it is something KTM adopted from Bajaj RnD or is it the vise versa ( Only who have ridden KTMs in past can comment )
But NO complaints regarding the looks .... We were waiting for the DUKE 690 or something to hit the road, but something better seem to be in store for all of us

Interesting Q about the back lit thing...
WOW!!!!!! Thats music to my ears... I dont know how many times I have dreamt about waking up to a dream of seeing a KTM parked in my garage!Originally posted by payeng View PostAccording to KTM they are looking at bikes from 125 cc to 350 cc with Bajaj. Who knows?
The back lit switches appeared on the Pulsars in 2006 in the UG III variants. The Bajaj KTM thingy started only in 2007.
So far I don't know of any other bike that has this feature, KTM's included... anyone?
Even if the 125 has an after market upgrade kit to push it to say a 150-180 or so, it would be a cool proposition to combat the pricing issue that 125 might face! but then it would mean sacrifice at some levels in terms of performance etc..
Priced just about P220!!! lol!! I doubt!!! and I seriously hope not!!!!Originally posted by vrugonnab View Postexactly.. if it's priced just above P220..it should drive droves of bikers into probiking show rooms.. 80-90k ex-showroom price is what most of us would be wishing for..

If its priced at that close to the p220 it will eat p220s share... especially from the posers. Secondly it would damage the brand KTM not from money point of view but it getting branded as a killing machine by noobs who will buy it, crash and are usually the ones who dont deserve it!Originally posted by vrugonnab View PostWell I know that's hoping for a bit too much, but why not

On the other hand, it would mean monetary burdening of the responsible biker community. Hopefully KTM/Bajaj doesn't feel the same way as you doOriginally posted by satyenpoojary View PostIf its priced at that close to the p220 it will eat p220s share... especially from the posers. let's see what Bajaj does.. certainly they would factor in higher margins while pricing KTM's.
