      • IMHO, the top half and the bottom half of the bike look disjoint. The bottom half looks like it belongs to a world class bike, the top half, specifically the fuel tank spoiled it a bit.

Contrary to popular opinion, I like it. Its really good that an Indian manufacturer has come out with a 250cc+ motorcycle, what we've beeen yearning for in a long long time. Most of our negative opinions stem from our own expectations. 300 cc twin cylinder 28-30 BHP was what most people had agreed upon. When that's come down to a big single, disappointment is evident.

All said and done, if the reliability is there, it's going to be a good product, even thought its 5 BHP below expectations.

        • More from Malaguti

          Malaguti MR250 nei dettagli - 1/6

Its exact copy of the MR250 to pretty much every detail except the head lamps which to be honest Feels out of place and the rear swingarm is not tubular but of rectangular swingarm .... Probably an FZ headlamp should make things look better ....Its was a two stroke like stated earlier in this thread with 1 into 2 exhaust like those Yezdi of yesteryears....

More when things get unveiled today

          • Pathetically Good

Okay...so Mahindra does the Logan again. Good engine on a not so good(baaaaad) platform.
The overall styling of the bike looks as if done by some modifier from Karol Bagh. The bike looks disproportionate.

On the other hand its a commendable job in the engines departments from an Indian Manufacturer.
Just wish it could have been styled better.

Will save for something from honda or bajaj.

            Keep riding!!!!

            • guys IMO i think the bike is good at least someone has started something new which could start an altogether different level of biking in India. And guys lets wait and see the bike in flesh, i know many opinions would change then.

Any specific reasons to say so?
I mean the 300CC mill with a Single Cylinder, with a twin twin exhausts set up, which peaks on red line which begins at 8000 RPM! So what exactly did you liked on this bike? A bigger bore? the Ducati EFI?

If you check the Malaguti designs by Engines Engineering, which this bike is based on, most of those bikes have twin exhausts on single cylinder engines. And those bikes are already selling in Europe. So, I am sure there is a technical reason behind it. I reserve my comments until I get to know the technology behind the bike.

                  • Very Disappointing, not being twin cylinder is a big let down and the looks are pathetic and that too copy from an ugly looking bike. When are these people ever going to get into proper twins??? eagerly waiting. Never the less, Mahindra has come up with a 'decent' powered bike and hope they price it properly. Hope atleast others like yamaha, honda and suzuki come up with a twin cylinder soon!

@Omega: Are you sure that bike is a 4 stroke bike already being sold in Europe?

                        All:
This is one thing in xBHP I dislike, just because its a bigger bore engine and a company first... we think its better if we dont criticize the bike!

Let the criticism be constructive.... it should result into a positive result else the entire purpose of having such a platform is defeated. Yes they have upped the ante, but this is not where it should end!

The bike would look so much better as a cafe racer! Any body good with photoshop skills could do some wonders in this department.

The website was a HUGE disaster... I hope it gets test launched and thoroughly tested before coming online!

The engine characteristics are a bit weird if you ask me... the stance of the bike is also a bit weird, its like a motocross bike suddenly wanting to now be a streetfighter...

I hope M&M is listening and more importantly acting on the bike (as they are probably doing with the site) and I hope we get some test rides too!

I think tweaking the headlight design itself would work wonders for the design!

No, I am not sure about a 4 stroke Satyen.

I agree with your rational and logical conclusion.

This is certainly not where it should end but looking at the trends in indian motorcycling, this is definitely a welcome change.

Industry leaders like HH took their own (rather painfully slow time) in bringing about a radical change to the indian motorcycling industry.

Atleast Mahindra has done what the Japs & Indain Motorcycle companies have kept us waiting for long.

Lets give Mahindra some time & space & see what its capable of.
