Here is a tweet from Anand Mahindra (Today 9:13 a.m.)... so I guess the site wasn't supposed to be up after all
... hopefully that was the reason that the text had so many mistakes!
"Thanks.Your tweet alerted us that the pics&name had been leaked. Have shut down the site @PrayagPan: what does the tagline for the Mojo ..."

LOL... Just read through some 4-5 pages... after page 81.. I am laughing non stop...
Well one thing to say, IMO good job from Mahindra of coming to motorcycling with a 300 cc... Kudos for that!!
Now getting back to what we have seen on the bike..
The Bad..
1) Not so good looks, I think it will take some time for us to digest the looks.
2) The name Mojo (What the hell.. for a 300 cc?? Seems like that of a 60cc moped)
3) Typos on website (SOLE of a supercar???? Rare tyre???... Not at all a professional approach)
The Good..
1) Decent performance figures in terms of Indian Manufactures. (Not talking about Ninja, it is way apart and of course is Kawasaki)
2) Good features (Large petal Discs, Liquid Cooled, Compression ratio of 11.1, Mono Shock)
3) This will create some buzz with in Indian Motorcycle Manufacturers, competition is increasing, good for buyers.
Understand the fact that the FZ is still selling, only because of its styling to a great extent, it is somewhat overpriced for a 150cc. With a poor mileage.
At last everything is now stuck on pricing which is very very crucial now for Mahindra, since they have came up with not so good looking decent performance bike. If they want good sale, they need to get it right, otherwise it will be a downfall I see.Last edited by D Coolest 1; 09-30-2010, 11:55 AM.Just R15ing...

Specifications are not so great 300cc motor producing 25.8bhp means M&M need to work on refinement get more power and torque.
It reminds me of Mojo jojo of Powerpuff girls MOJO...
Fuel Tank need to be change its making the bike look ugly...

Since the bike sports a Retro-Classic look, how about a simple round single headlight? That would go more with its image than the FZ headlight.Originally posted by roshan3440 View PostFZ styled headlamps will make it look better ,better than the original Malaguti
MR250 for sure
IThe reason most people did not like the design is that Retro-Classic look is not in anymore.STOP Honking - START Riding

I mean the 300CC mill with a Single Cylinder, with a twin twin exhausts set up, which peaks on red line which begins at 8000 RPM! So what exactly did you liked on this bike? A bigger bore? the Ducati EFI?
I liked the effort that mahindra has taken.

Why not stick to a twin head lamp but a vertically stacked one... like the KTMs... that would look cool!Originally posted by Omega Man View PostSince the bike sports a Retro-Classic look, how about a simple round single headlight? That would go more with its image than the FZ headlight.

Thats the reason...looks need not be critcized or atleast just by looking at the pictures, but its our fundamental right to speakOriginally posted by payeng View PostThere are styling disasters like the Fiero, Glamour, CBZ Xtreme but people still buy it. Don't they? Good for them.
But there are also few for whom a bike's proportion, stance, expression means as much as its engine performance and handling.
For them a bike also has to be a work of art..!!
Example: a Ducati or even our Pulsar 200/220S or the FZ-16/S.
What I see here is that Mahindra could have done much much more.. anyway will be checking out the bike in flesh tomorrow. But even then I don't think the proportions would change much.
.
ZMR for example...poeple have given weird names to it when the pictures were leaked..but rather in flesh it looks better atleast to me and a test ride also clarified quite doubts about its performance.
True...there are people who also vouch for the looks of the bike..but I was thinking that atleast on xBHP it was not much. (EDIT: one of the prominent reason I went for bikes/scooter in my signature beacuse of their engines.)
Any how..would be waiting for your reviews on MOJO (I would like to rename it as Diablo
as mojo reminds me of cartoon)...
some quick corrections by M2W to their website is enough...the bike/specs as of now looks good for indian roads, wannabe posers, long distance tourers, Led-Ladakh explorers....I would expected it to be decent enough to enjoy the track day.
And the comparision between Malaguti m250 which resembles MOJO almost 95% except the headlight. They gap between headlights and the front mud-gaurd is more...lowering the headlamps little bit would have made look proportional.Last edited by riazmomin; 09-30-2010, 12:02 PM.2007 - Hero Honda CBZ Xtreme

Mahindra is entering the two wheel segment for the first time so they had to something different so as to create a buzz. So this is quite an obvious move!Originally posted by riazmomin View PostAnd my applause to Mahindra for daring something where many so called Indian and Japanese manufacturers were hesitant.

If I am not mistaken, the website is not officially launched. Its leaked.
Spelling mistakes & picture/text placements could be taken seriously if the website was officially up.
The bike looks good & the specs seem decent too. Hope its priced between the Ninja & R15.
Great work Mahindra. I reserve my comments until a test ride.Originally posted by Omega Man View PostIf you check the Malaguti designs by Engines Engineering, which this bike is based on, most of those bikes have twin exhausts on single cylinder engines. And those bikes are already selling in Europe. So, I am sure there is a technical reason behind it. Retro Classic look! For that kind of styling to be accepted in a merket one needs to go a full circle of designs and in India we are yet to see a true Street Naked till date. FZ is close
When I say a street naked the center of attraction is the tank and it needs to be considerably bigger than the rest of the body.Anyways for the moment I will say the "fish gills" which covers the radiator needs to go.It looks out of place. Rest I reserve I decision till I see the final product.
Spec is pretty decent and bang on on what I expected.
