Based on the news from e-media and most important what MG_Biker1806 has confirmed (200%) it's damm sure that Honda is going to launch a 200+ cc motor. Thailand launch (150r and prob 250r) is going to be hint on what they are going to offer if Indian Media is invited in thailand.

Lets wait and watch what Honda is going to offer in Indian market. One thread say they are going to break officially next week. So we should expect some crackers from Honda in Diwali.

there was a speculation sometime ago that the 300cc honda cb300r tiger was in cards for indian market. also the dazzler is entirely based on this design. the meter console is exactly the same of dazzler.

@SP - A Customer will always prefer a good cooked dish. I am referring from the point of view desi manufacturers. Suppose destiny gets bloody lucky by some miracle and we have the following products within next 16 months, where do the current range of bikes like Pulsar/RTR 150, 180 would stand which are main bread earner for some. There has to be a start at some point of time. If the effort is to catch up, it would not be a better solution than the effort to lead. And if the efforts are totally indigenous, then the initial dishes would be slightly sour again.

Honda CBR 150i & CBR 200i & CB300R
Mojo in a Saree and Naked
KTM 125 & 250
Yamaha R20 & FZ400
Kawasaki 600 & EN & cheap Ninja 250.

@ Sheelpriye - Bhai, you are so fixated with 2s & 4s, but why? Just for the sake of sound or what. The idea behind a 250-300 cc motor in Asia is to provide an affordable machine which objective can be realised more easily if it is a single cylinder. Making it a double or I-4 would defeat the basic idea itself. And for your kind information, any good comparable single, at least on dyno, makes more power than a twin. How about a CRF 250R raping Ninja 250 in broad daylight? Even a massively detuned single can have as much power as a twin. It is just the packaging.

On top speed front, there is not much difference between R-15 and CBR 150. For chasis, R-15 is a superior product and it is easily available.

My priorities are straight and clear: Nothing doing if it is 150 even if it is given at Rs. 50,000 with one set of free tyres. The new thing would have to be 200+ or the deal is off. Mojo is just around here.

@ Technician-- I have nothing against Motorcycles produced for mass market and have no qualms if its a single at 250, but as an enthusiast what would your wish be?

Let me know of any single which revs till kingdom comes? Don't care much for linear power delivery, but this is not what the market (end consumer (99%) and the manufacturer wants), affordable and volumes respectively is what both want and it can be achieved by what you are suggesting.

But if they go your way, tough times ahead for us.

and its name is CB250 ... so from its name and by honda's stupid gestures towards india.. its nothing but a naked medium looking bike [from name also its evident ] ..

with its estimated price of 1lac++ there are no guddies [technical] involved .. its just a name sake 250cc nothing spl and attractive
