^^What disadvantage would a dual cylinder have over a single if cubes are 250? (except changing two plugs at 10K)

      Food for thought:
An air cooled 150CC biked which is already in India from Honda and has a SOHC setup running at a compression of 9.1:1 ALREADY belts 13.5 PS @8000RPM despite its 140KG weight..

Compare that with a DOHC setup, a high compression engine, equipped with liquid cooling, and all in all a blessed lighter machinery!

      I thought this was true!!!

        13.6 PS = 125CC (CBR125) that's what Zig wheel is talking about.

EDIT: Satyen beat me by 2 mins...

Riding is a way of life. Sometimes, it might also be a way of giving life. So Ride safe. In both contexts.

            • As per this link, the new CB150R sells for 68,000 Thai bahts in Thailand (of course )..I don't know how much sense do I make by this post but that in INR is somewhere near 1 lacs ..(1 baht=1.5 rupee..approx)...

Now if it comes at this price..everybody would want one..
Won't even mind if it costs 10k-15k higher than that..
If you ride like there's no tomorrow...worry not there won't be!

Bummer! How much would that be?..I had this thing in my mind, hence, the 'sense' thing in my post.

I guess they were somewhere around..110% when I read about it last..

                    • Yawn! Thailand has an FTR with India... but now with the new rules circulation on the 'country of origin' this might have an impact!

                      • I've never really understood these import things and all..CBUs I guess are completely build units..and CKDs are completely knocked down units..The former is very expensive and the latter is 'only' expensive....right??

                        What's this FTR,Satyen bhai..???

I just know that the govt. doesn't at all care about us petrol-heads and hence, they slap on heavy duties on the machines we dream about all the day long...

But it beats me why are Indian journos being invited to Thailand then? After all nobody gets a free lunch/vacation.

                          • For the launch of the other bikes... we know 8 of them are coming.
So may be 1 or 2 of them would come to India too!

                            • Now I am 90% sure that this bike won't come to India...The rest 10% depends only after the Journos reveal whether it's a free lunch or a paid one??

                              • We can speculate about what might come to India, but this CBR 150R makes sense for Honda, provided they can match the R15 price.

R15 has already done the ground work for developing the Indian market for an technologically advanced, 150 cc bike; around the 1.1-1.2 lakh mark.

Along with that if there is also a 200/250/300 then great..!!
