    • Old CBR engine for sure. I gues PGM FI would make a lot of sense, with it.. it should meet the emission norms here as well....

IIRC the original 150 didnt pass the emission test here...

So I guess the 150 and a bigger version could see the light here...

Yes, this was the exact reason quoted by Shumi then at BSM.

Obviously in thailand why should they talk about India/Asia..
The press release is for the Thai press !!!!
hey dont take the press release seriously. I mean all companies just edit the same for the country/ region of launch.

Since HMSI will want to make a statement to the India market and esspecially Hero Honda post split we should expect some major launches soon.
          This 150..ok maybe.
          More 100cc commuters..maybe
250..maybe..just to shake things up and give everyone esspecially HH a knock out punch.

I read somewhere in this thread that Indian media/journalists have been invited for this launch event; which signifies that this product has to do something with the Indian Market as well.

              • If this comes to India, it will be the 1st 'real' competitor to the R15.
More of these bikes&people will be riding world class 150s.
But what about our dose of 250mg.?

                • Some interesting specs:

                  149cc-PGMFi, DOHC, 4V LC Engine
                  Compression Ratio:11.0:1
                  Tyre Size Front:100/80-17, Rear:130/70-17

Honda should launch both the bikes but i have a feeling they will initially launch the 250 as we have been hearing about it from eons.

                    Food for thought:
Most Honda bikes in India have a magical compression ratio of 9.1:1... right from Activa to the Unicorn. I dont know if its for ALL the bikes even in their latest avatar. Any one game to check this?

                    You know what this means?

                      • Knowing Honda they are pretty rigid in their 'view' about what we want\need\deserve in India....

Sigh! This if it comes to India, is a sure shot kick to R15 where it hurts the most!!!

                            • Mmmm....this thread is getting boring. Hope they bring a 250 out soon. The 150s good, but we badly need more options in performance bikes beginning with a good, sensibly priced 250. The big brands need to realize what a hungry market India is for performance bikes. The Ninja selling in good numbers despite a 3+ lakh on road price is proof.
Riding is a way of life. Sometimes, it might also be a way of giving life. So Ride safe. In both contexts.

                              • i read on the Thaivisa.com forum that the CBR150 would be launched in Thailand at the end of October while the 250cc will be first displayed at the Milan bike show in November and then go on sale a few weeks later!
