I just said that this bike will be revealed before 2nd Nov. The official launch of this bike is supposed to happen on 27th-28th of this month in Thailand.Originally posted by Technician View PostAlso, I don't want to discredit Moderator Mr. Gourab (MG)'s connection
150 is surprise even to me because there is a supposed 250cc being tested in Honda these days and it was always supposed to be a 250 only.

If this is a 150 which it is then its difficult to believe that Honda will make a 250 just for India even though the news was very reliable unless they follow this launch with another 250cc for South East Asian market and India.Originally posted by Technician View PostI have full faith in Moderator ranks of XBHP.COM.

Oh btw this bike looks WOW!!

That is true, this bike looks proportionate from every angle and I like the superbike shaped exhaust and lot other things. Waiting for it or even a better 250cc to be launched soon in IndiaOriginally posted by payeng View PostBeing small is not the real issue.. but being proportionate is more important to me actually.
The proportions of the R15 at the rear and the ZMR with its fairing doesn't gel with the rest of the bikes. But the new CBR 150R here seems like to have been designed on a clean sheet of paper (or on a blank computer screen

250 will always be a niche product. Honda boffins are very cunning (in a positive business manner). They can surprise us if they start importing the 150i (in addition or absence of 250i) to kill two, rather many birds with one stone.
But you all know, if Mr. Handa starts providing narcotics substance at a reasonable rate, Mr. Banga and Mr. T.V. Singh would be in trouble. Now, don't ask me who these people are. And btw, where are the original really bad characters. Where are you Mr. Sheelpriye ?
Vow, it is my 200th post.Last edited by Technician; 10-19-2010, 04:04 PM.The Original CBZ

The upgrade of the old CBR 150R was definitely on cards due for the simple fact that the same bike was sold as a CBR 125R in Europe. Which post the Yamaha YZF R125 launch was looking a decade old in comparison.
Now the new CBR 150R (as the CBR 125R of course) looks very much in competition with the European YZF R125.
But will there be a 250 cc variant in the same clothes? Or will Honda bring a different 250/300 cc bike for India? The former wouldn't be a bad idea at all.. but will it be possible?
And variomatic scooters.Originally posted by Satyamzma View Postchecking out the thai honda site...i found almost all of their bikes are step through vehicles

Knowing Mr. Handa, its quite possible that the dope wont be priced so sensibly...Originally posted by Technician View Post250 will always be a niche product. To someone who quoted the Price of the CBR, the R15 is sold around 65k Baht AFAIK. So I guess 110,000 - 125,000K seems to be the range...
I guess its upto Mr. Banga and Mr. T.V Singh to up the ante and atleast shift to better chassis with some design cues on how to pack their dope in a much better manner!
The 250 to take on the Ninja is due... its a potent tool for all markets.... So maybe a small-big bike for the world, which is a big bike for Asia Pacific is due!Originally posted by MG_Biker1806 View PostIf this is a 150 which it is then its difficult to believe that Honda will make a 250 just for India even though the news was very reliable unless they follow this launch with another 250cc for South East Asian market and India.

This is what we all are urging these gentlemen to do, but in vain except with bright colours and small incremental cc upgrades. Tell me, when a modern 150 with an ability to outpeform all other bikes sold in India by these gentlemen becomes available who will buy different models of these makers. I have not talked about 250 yet though I am only concerned with 250 only, and not 150 at all. This is the difference between leading and following.I guess its upto Mr. Banga and Mr. T.V Singh
Also, I would really feel bad if an extensive efforts by indigenous Indian maker for developing a bike, say, a 180, goes down the drain within two years just because there are no or very less number of buyers interested in that particular segment of bikes because two segments, 150 and 250 can cover everything and in between. Wasted efforts and energies, isn't it.Last edited by Technician; 10-19-2010, 04:45 PM.The Original CBZ

dont you think that this is a strong reason why the 150 wont come here?Originally posted by Technician View PostThis is what we all are urging these gentlemen to do, but in vain except with bright colours and small incremental cc upgrades. i mean, that they have spent millions on the assembly setups for these new bikes (like the dazzler), so they might not bring the 150 now and only a 250 cc one so that it does not compete with their own product.. i am just guessing.. but i really want an answer to this question as to why will they bring a new 150 cc bike when they already have the dazzler?
had it been a variant of dazzler, it would be sensible. but its a new engine altogether.Suffering from Parked Motorcycle Syndrome

I don't want 150 here also. P220 and R15 are already here and would compete with it in case it decides to come here.
I am only concerned with 250-300 cc. That is it. But I can't analyze MG's contension. He is a moderator. How can we ignore him?
That is why I said HOnda might try to kill many birds with one stone. If a layman like me strolling on the road can understand this, they are much better educated with good analytical abilities. If this is a 150 which it is then its difficult to believe that Honda will make a 250 just for IndiaLast edited by Technician; 10-19-2010, 04:55 PM.The Original CBZ

Like Yamaha sells the 150 cc R15, with Full Fairing, Liquid Cooled Engine, 6 Speed Gearbox, with a Perimeter frame at 1.10-1.15 lakhs..
...and also sells 5 variants of the air cooled, carbureted, 153 cc engine (FZ16, FZ-S, Fazer, SZ and SZ-X) at price points ranging from 60K to 80K.
