OMGOriginally posted by revvhard View PostInferior build quality in comparison to its larger brother i.e cbr250r!!?? if that is the benchmark for build quality and it cant even stand up to that then it is definitely not worth buying.
The CBR250 did not have good build quality and if this is true and with an hefty overprice of 1.17x-showroom wonder how many they will sell
Currently R15 with its dual light assembly looks much better offer than this. Also coming Faired powerful P200FS will eat its as well as R15s market share drastically. Sry Honda u let us down.

I would still prefer the Honda! I like my uniqueness! Maybe a Honda fan boy even! Or if try to rationalize! cc people will prefer R15 by using their unique calculating skills for cc to price ratio
I will still stand unique in the crowd
Only thing I dont like about the R15 was the rear profile. Definitely not pillion friendly! Been there and hence bragging! If someone's gonna fight about that. I really aint gonna care
Anyway both bikes gonna stress after 130+ and you aint gonna be forever cursing at top ends! So power comparison doesn't matter! But Honda might have a upper hand over FE! Detuning the Indian engine. Another sad point
Build is always good from Honda! Initial batches in 250R were slugglish cause of improper planning and inadequate time to meet the demands of customers! They rushed! Yeap! I have a bike with some glitches here and there! Blame me too ... I pushed them a way too far too! Demanding for my bike
But till this date! I am proud to yapp that I have a super strong engine
More than happy!
Present batches are very good! I saw many even inspired some! 150R has been planned carefully to prevent the previous f*up that was made with 250R's! I dont think we will see any mistakes from Honda this time!
Btw, Honda is gonna allot/convert some service stations just for CBR's just like Bajaj's probiking showrooms! No solid source but my service mechanic keeps say this every time I see him! Hey! They are the reliable sources as far as I know

Bro, can u please tell me from where u read it , cause i really want to know about the build quality ... i have searched the a lot n i cant find it .. can u post me link..Originally posted by Guru_DTSi View PostHas someone seen this in flesh? There were many reports that this bike had a very inferior build quality. Unlike it's elder sibling. If that's true, I guess we shouldn't touch it with a barge pole...
I hope the build quality is good enough for the price i m paying, since CBR150R is manufactured in India Manesar Plant Pune
.. Lets wait for the reviews/test drive ... Honda build is always been good.

and the question remains why do i race?

CBR150 is 1.35 lacs onroad in Hyderabad. I was expecting somewhere around 1.2 lac onroad price. Was planning for CBR150, but I feel its too pricey and out of my budget.HH Karizma (Current) || CBF Stunner PGM-FI || Honda CB Unicorn Dazzler

Give the Pulsar 200NS a try.. reviews of this bike have been great from each and every auto publication and hopefully the price will be very attractive as well.Originally posted by ravi@17bhp View PostCBR150 is 1.35 lacs onroad in Hyderabad. The CBR250R even being so expensive had very bad build quality. Read any auto-expert review u want. The bikes got rust on its steel parts soon. On an avg japs provide good build quality (barring cbr 250) but they very well know how to earn big profits by overpricing.Originally posted by sayank10 View Postheard same, seems like the news is true.

Yes Payeng, P200NS is in my mind, but I will wait for six months after the launch of P200NS and decide based on reviews.Originally posted by payeng View PostGive the Pulsar 200NS a try.. reviews of this bike have been great from each and every auto publication and hopefully the price will be very attractive as well.

I dnt want to post there without a reason. Any owners thread would bash u if u say bad things about their bikes thats quite obvious. I would believe auto-experts more than owners. its the owners who exhaggerate more rather than the auto-experts. I accept they imrpoved the quality but it still has few quality issues.Originally posted by sayank10 View Postpost this in ownership thread of cbr and get bashed instantly

I also heard the same from my SVC manager. The same person who told me the tentative launch date of CBR 150 as March 2012 6 months back, yes you are right, even before the launch in Auto Expo.Originally posted by BladeBoy View PostBtw, Honda is gonna allot/convert some service stations just for CBR's just like Bajaj's probiking showrooms! What makes you think you'd be any safe hereOriginally posted by Enthusiastic View PostAny owners thread would bash u if u say bad things about their bikes thats quite obvious
Anyway, you're welcome to do a positive critic or tell the facts even if its worse in the ownership thread; we'll only be glad to accept it rather than defending than a stupid crazy fanatic as we do not idolize someone nor get payed by them.
Like what? Care to explain as you seem to reasonable?Originally posted by Enthusiastic View PostI accept they imrpoved the quality but it still has few quality issues.
Tell you what happened with CBR 250R...
- The CBR tag always stood for race/track machine
- Either Honda's fault or people's misconception, the name went for a toss when the bike was not a track machine
- Most people expected it to be an alternative for N250R, but Honda positioned it totally in a different segment
- Over & above, the first lot had issues
Probably a little overpriced which seem to be the case now especially with 200NS, Katoom & C150R. Otherwise, the product is good.Last edited by aargee; 03-17-2012, 01:00 AM.Skill is what keeps you on a Motorcycle
