Did i mention Dazzler? my bad. The Dazzler is still selling in tier 2 and below cities. Dont think they will end its run so soon. Wasnt it like just a few months ago they came up with the new look Dazzler with stickers?

    So it will stay longer,

    • Hey guys, just wondering something, in case this CBR is detuned to 18 bhp and 12 NM torque and the thailand version is really 19 bhp and 17NM... then is it possible to install an ECU of the thailand made CBR 150R in our bikes and make ours produce similar figures as the thailand version?

Also, i'm skeptical about the 19.5 bhp and 17NM torque figure of CBR 150R since some member has earlier mentioned that those figures are fake...

Today I inquired one showroom here in Mumbai. SalesRep said bike will be available only in JUNE. He also mentioned that 250R production has been lowered to make room for this new bike (of course low sales was another reason) and waiting period has gone up to 60 - 90 days again.

+1. I am wondering what kind of de-tuning drops torque fig from 17 to 12.3 ??? Any hints?

It often takes a humiliating overtake to understand that an early jump off the red light won't help them lead the pact. All I want to say is - Go after green.

i think rather than changing ecu it can be done by swapping EPROM chips, which contains data used by ecu to maintain engine functions.Upgraded chips change the way the ECU performs its two functions - ignition timing and fuel delivery.so we may get performance close to thai version, but i don't know how feasible the process is.
and the question remains why do i race?

Like it is said in Hindi: "Phek Raha Hai"

Simple fact: If there is a demand, then why lower the production of a product which will bring in more profit?

              Yes, according to BS Motoring

The CBR 250R has seen some substantial slide in sales in the recent months. The company saw sales of under 140 units of the bike in January as against its usual tally of around 2,500-3,000 units every month.

Yes Saar...couldn't believe it myself; heard this news of cash discount upto 5K from two friends of mine who went to book CBR 250R. One was in Gurgaon & other in Pune. Needless to say what the dealers would talk about the discount - stock clearance

but that is due to thai flood effect i guess, low supply of components, that's why they called off brio's bookings too.

Well, initially Honda said it was due to EQ in Japan, then Thail floods; I don't know how long can they keep cooking the stories; the Japanese are so effecient at their work that, they resurrected half their power plant in 2-3 months (or may be 6), so much for their ramping up their productivity!!!

The reduced numbers coud also be due to the "KTM 200 Duke" effect.

Brio bookings were restarted a couple of weeks back. City production is also back to 100%. Everything is getting back on track. No grave reason to lower production now. Apart from what Payeng said.

A handful of parts(along with some spares?) on the CBR come from Japan.
But most of the parts on the CBR are made in Thailand.

The Jap factory was up a while ago but the Thai factory has not been running in full swing to date.
