    Its definitely artificial demand. I hardly see a Honda bikes on road. Roads here are flooded with Hero Honda and Bajaj bikes. How can Honda's demand be higher than supply?

    Are they planning to manufacture just 2000 CBRs a year? Even something like Honda City is available off the shelf and its supposed to be VERY HIGH in demand.

      I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

        Well, the showroom guy said that Honda has already reached their target for CBR (not delivery, maybe bookings). Not sure how far this is true.
        And I think the target of 30000 bikes/year was for Worldwide, not just for India.

          IMHO, HMSI should be least bothered. Reason? The high cost & maintenance on N250R will burn holes with people who're affordable for N250R.

          Frankly speaking, most international speed limits are around 100-120 Kmph. Even in China, the highways have 90 Kmph as top speed limit. When a vehicle can do that, is affordable & comes from a reputed manufacturer, they're already winning the market.

          In India, C250R is affordable, while in the international market, its providing more value & most importantly, it is FE.

          Only time will tell, if Honda is really having a winning product.

          Indians are fools probably!!! Sry to say that, but, that's what it makes me to feel when, they've a 6 months waiting period for a decade old product like Activa, 3-4 months waiting period for half a decade old product like Unicorn.

              Well I dunno, I wanted my first bike and since the pictures creeped out in October, I have been waiting! Only for this, None other ... R15, Revamped version, KTM or what not. This just stuck in my mind Those were his view's not mine Well I don't care actually

                Tks Srivaatsav. But now its even more alarming!!! 30K in India & 10K for exports How will they do it at the snail pace? Shouldn't they have sold about 2.5K in one month after launch, atleast to begin with? Have they sold that many numbers?

                @Bladeboy - you booked in April isn't it? Not sure how long should you keep waiting. From my last conversation, I heard the current waiting period for C250R has increased to 6 months

                And the worst thing I hate to say is...HMSI hasn't even made a formal launch in South India (not that I know of) like Mumbai or Delhi.

                        Don't think that is the case, u see they have waiting across all models, its just they don't have a strong production line as bajaj does in India.

                        The CBR250 is a phenomenal bike honda is having problem with delivery. Some say part of it is Tsunami.

                              I think its because Pulsar has the same tank, panels, indicators etc its just the engine, silencer which is different as for Honda it has larger range of products simliar to Hero Honda with same engines little bit of difference but different looks example - Unicorn & Dazzler, Stunner & Shine, Activa, Aviator & Dio, Hero-CBZ, Achiever & Hunk, ZMA & ZMR, Splendour, Gambler & Passion that is why Cost of Production is less for Bajaj so its more cheaper.
                              Yes Honda is not able to meet the demands (that is why new plants are being set up) I dont think there is artificial demand.

                                As per an Engineering/Business point of view this issue could be a result of "Underestimation"
                                I dont think Honda expected the CBR to be in demand even if they announced to sell 30000 a year.

                                Or it could be that theyre exporting more to the foreign markets so as to not keep those ppl waiting(who have more options to choose from in the 250cc segment compared to us).
                                We Indians dont have much choice but to wait or buy a bike which is twice the price! And Honda might be using our loyalty against us?

                                Just my two cent Analogy :P
