IIRC, when Honda announced this bike, it was told that they would be exporting to South America&some other countries from India&Thailand being the major production hub. I guess that is the reason why even if there is mass production, it is consumed by other countries.
However, we do get the best quality at the world's lowest price for this bike, so I think the wait is still justifiable!

Absolutely true,
If u can buy from US website and deliver it to any US friend /relative address, then it is the most cheapest way to get.
Unfortunately I don't have such option, I only can transfer the money online.
Here the ebay charge + seller profit added to the final price As well as shipping from U.S, customs clearance, handling charges and delivery charge of the product at your doorstep.Comment

check out a site iccworld.com. Here you can post link of any shortlisted item from US website. They will buy it in US and ship it to your address. They will give you quotation upfront within 48 hours which would include custom duty also.

Yes, it do involves to become a member. But now they are offering the same membership for $5. I registered it on Monday.
They charge first 500gms as $10 and subsequent 500 gms at $8 for shipping.Comment
