  • ^^ Going by your review, I think it will be safe to wait for the feedback of the existing buyers on the ASS.

Also, by then if Bajaj comes out with something in the 250 cc segment, it will be worth a try.

But as you said, since it is Honda, it will be able to sell CBR without breaking sweat.

      • The display bike is indeed made in a hurry. I dont think Honda would risk it all by selling CBR in such a way!
I feel like Peter Parker when I drive my Hunk in the city but I become Spiderman when I am on my CBR swinging from one lane to the other on expressways.

            • Nice first impression there myg124. Looks like Honda have a winner on their hands, but will lose a few eager customers for the cited quality issues, agonizingly delayed delivery, and very poorly equipped A.S.Ss

However, all that said, here are a few comparisons with the competition and alike:

The R15, also looked weedy, the alloys looking poorly finished, but still, the performance more than covered up for all that

The Ninja 250R, dated instrumentation, and poor quality switches, but people are paying a hefty premium for the functional bits, i.e refined engine, superior suspension etc

The BMW S 1000RR, costing 24 lakhs, has a pathetic plastic fairing, not even as good as Ninja quality!!

So, my inference is that if the bike performs well, probably these shortcomings can be overlooked, but as for the case of the A.S.S, God save us from them

And thank you for all the detailed pictures

Mate, I hope so but they seriously need to do something called 'something' to their A.S.S.

Thanks Aargee. Hope these idiots spruce up things, else the competition will just have it for supper.

Hey Sharu, long time mate! hows it going? I agree with you, with regards to the R15, Ninja, yes the strong points make up for the weak ones. And I guess the engine and the suspension will make up for it with the CBR. The point is people wont buy the bike, they will be buying a Honda experience and such pathetic impressions deter them from getting one. I hope everything will smoothen out in good time.

Mumbai guys who have booked the CBR: Kindly pm me your names and numbers. I need to get in touch with you guys for an exciting reason.

Observe carefully, the ad shows 3 CBR's. CBR150R, CBR250R and a litre CBR.

                        Thanks for the review !

I had booked the CBR from Haiku Honda , Bangalore.Even i felt the wrath of the stupid service not only when i was booking but also whenever I contacted them for any updates. I genuinely feel like slapping them whenever I talk to them here. I also googled the dealers name for reviews and found some really bad opinions.
I hail from Udupi and had gone with my parents to the honda center there to buy an activa. The service was Excellent there especially when compared to Bangalore. They listened patiently and addressed all doubts. I pestered them with CBR enquiries and completely forgot about the activa.
I also enquired if I could get the ASS of the bike done there and they said sure.(in retrospect that was a stupid question ) Seeing the difference I so feel like just driving the 400+ kms just for the better service ! ( and also to get to have a long ride in the weekend throught the western ghats )
                        What say guys!

                          • Time to nip the issue in the bud:

The bikes in the video are the CBR125R, CBR 250R and the CBR 600F

Thanks for the correction, I knew one of the three was a big bike, but since the ad talked abt CBR's I tht it must be the litre CBR.
