^^^ i've seen that link way back when it was posted.
so... tell me... when are these 125s "hitting the indian market"??Originally posted by shafi ahmed View Postwas previously named the stunt 125 by bajaj.... tats how it is to hit indian market... if tis is not true i would love to learn the truth...
they're going to be available in europe in mid 2011...
but there's not going to be a launch for india.
atleast not in the 125 avatar.
with little or no help from KTM??Originally posted by shafi ahmed View Postto prove my point, you guys see the last bike in all this... thats th one tat was designed here... with none or very little help direct KTM...
when i said you were misinformed... i was reffering to the facts that...
Bajaj designed the KTM 125 Duke all on their own.
& that the 125 is due an launch in india.
both of which, are not true.
the link source is just speculating when they say...
you can find those same sources talking about 250cc R15s & 350/400cc pulsars. And as is clearly visible, one just can’t wait long enough for these bikes to hit Probiking showrooms.

Agreed.. but KTM Duke is not similar to Ninja story..or Fiat-Ferrari/Tata -Jaguar!! I wouldn't claim Bajaj made Ninja since they are assembling it. In case of baby duke, Bajaj is involved right from design stage.. so your point is not valid here.. baby duke is a result of collaboration between KTM & Bajaj. So, you have to give credit to Bajaj for their effort with Duke.Originally posted by R-series View PostOh c'mon if you know the secrets of KTM and have the Blue prints what they do and how they do it..you can make the same stuff in your backyard with the required infrastructure ofcourse..does that make it your product or KTM's? the credit would still go to KTM irrespective who's making it..unless you change the answer for "how to make it?"
This is the same reason Jaguars (being under Tata) are still selling because its a Jaguar. Ferrari's because they are Ferrari product and not Fiat. get the point. I don't say your wrong. At the end the Financial profit might go to Bajaj, thats understood and it might sell as a bajaj product, but I expect you to understand its still made by KTM..though its made in India, though its made at the bajaj plant and though its made by indians.Let's bring down the monster of corruption to it's knees.. please visit http://ipaidabribe.com/

Correct.
If anybody has any doubts then he can read the Rajiv Bajaj interview published in the Feb issue of BSM magazine. In the interview, its clearly mentioned that the 125/200 Duke has been developed and sourced out of India. Which results in cost advantages for KTM.
[Plus Bajaj currently has around 38% stake in KTM. More than the 26% that Honda had in Hero Honda]
Mr. Bajaj has also said in the interview that NOT the 125 but a 200 Duke will be launched in India, since it does not make sense launching a 125 in India as unlike most countries of Europe, India does not have any laws favoring the use of 125 cc.
Launch date in India, probably by year end.
New Pulsars:
Plus Mr. Bajaj also has mentioned in the interview that most of the engine of the KTMs (manufactured in India) will be shared by the completely re-engineered Pulsars.
Also mentioned in the interview is that the new Pulsars will be air as well as Liquid cooled + will have 4 valve/cylinder engines.

Even you have put this inside bracketsOriginally posted by payeng View Post[Plus Bajaj currently has around 38% stake in KTM. More than the 26% that Honda had in Hero Honda]
I think this is a very good point. When Honda had just 26%, people always said ' Hero honda is Honda technology, reliability....

'etc.
But even when bajaj having 38% of KTM they do not get the half the credit they deserve, (but the sarcasm)....
