    • Now if u do some analysis .....

it seems like this new bike either a completely sold as new bike along with old R15 or it may be a bigger R bike may be 200/250CC

the assumptions for the above is ...

      1. still there is production of old R15 is happening [believable source]
      2. recently the R15 has been launched in international market as learner bike [australia] in old model [around Jan 2011]
      3. they might taken a lession from bajaj by sharing the parts for different category of bikes like P150/200/220 .. this is very much possible
      4. from the pic it seems like there is lot of alteration has been done for the bike .. longer wheel base , bigger tyres, change in the aerodynamics of body .. which are not so easy to achive for the international makers ..as they are very specific about performance/handling/balance... so its seems completely new bike on the lines of R15
      Nothing is Impossible ...

      • My JAW broke when I saw that picture. Eagerly waiting for the launch and get my very first hands on this bike. I am no fan of Yamaha, but after this one I will love to own it.

          • 22ps for a 250cc is too bad so my guess is it could be a 150cc itself.
            anyway,who knows..maybe this was the rumored face-lifted 17ps R15 that YAMAHA scrapped off :P

Climbing up/down is only half the problem. Real problem is, with pillion seat that high, it will affect handling esp. if you have a bit heavy pillion.

                The bikes awesome!
and i think the high seat part will solve itself as the suspension will compress downwards when a pillion sits..;P

The same way ladies do it for sportbikes.. or to permanently block that option put a seat cowl..

                    • Wheelbase Increase

The wheelbase also seems to have increased slightly.. its should make the bike appear longer/bigger now. Also the swingarm now seems more chunky.

The weight definitely is going to increase.. the only concern would be if there is no increment in power.

                              • i think power will be 18-19 bhp max....
i dont think they can extract more juice from existing 150cc engine with keeping emission norms in mind...
they can produce couple of bhps more in countries like thailand, australia where emission norms are a bit relaxed in comparison to india...
