Well, except that thing which 'hugs' the tyre..

      • The Bike looks nice and neat.. But Just a glance on the rear split seat looks more of Ninja 250, black?

Since everyone knows this pic would become one of the most circulated pic on net.. I think he would have started applying for new job

                  • In the words of the Mask - Smokin ! Hope Yamaha gives the OR15 (Old R15) owners the option of swapping panels. Maybe they will offer more colour options as well.

                    • 1st time in 2 yrs I am giving a 2nd thought y I bought R15?? Ohh...its just too sexy...If its 250cc, definitely Bajaj, HH are going to say "Hunto" !

Can we swap our old r15 with the new one? As yamaha has been loyal to existing customer by rolling out free replacement and services. Though I wud like to check if my wife is comfortable as pillion. Else I am happy with my current one

                      • Good looking bike except for the tyre hugger (which will nevertheless be sacrificed to make the bike more appealing).

I would have been more excited if there was a R25 in the making.
RIP Marco Simoncelli! You will not be forgotten!

                          • Won't there be now cries of despair now stating "What will happen to the resale value of the older model"?

[P.S: Am just pulling the leg of some xBhpians here ]

If only the motor would have been 200 cc (21/22 Ps), it could have taken the CBR250R head on in terms of need for speed.
Design wise, this new R15 takes the cake from the CBR250R.

i dont think so that would be possible. the mountings for the tail part seems different from the old one.

Even the Wheelbase is Longer now.. Possibly done to maintain the balance/handling of the bike due to the incorporation of a fatter tyre.

Just compare the photo of the original/older R15 with the new one. The rear wheel now extends backwards vis-a-vis the rear seat.
