haha... it's funny how this "the R15 will have two variants" topic even started.

so the "new swing-arm" theory is unlikely.
i asked him if the old R15 can get the upgrades as direct fit,
then he said tail part can be a direct fit but swingarm is new, about the performance he said it(tyre) has been designed not to hamper the performance

      • the yamaha dealer in my city said it'll have only cosmetic changes (thats what they were 'informed' ). no idea about pricing of the new one and no idea whether the current one would be stored.

BTW, when did the red and white R15 come in ? looks really really awesome.

Well, I certainly have no complaints with the rear end.... after having lived with the rear end of RD350 and RX100 for years, this one is far better....

The red and white version was a limited edition...i guess. And if the new R15 is only about cosmetic changes, I would love to see the projector headlight and under seat exhaust as in R1....it would boost the true sporty character the R15.

i was specifically reffering to the higher aesthetic on the updated rear-end tho.

                        and get that radiator changed.

Split seat is fine, i wouldn't let them touch my tire (Ofcourse split seat upgrade has to be for free)

Oh come, give me some slack, R15 doesn't have that bad tire profile.

Its good if thats the case.
Present owners who wish to upgrade the looks of the bike can do so without too much of a hassle and also he is used to the performance of his machine which would remain unchanged as the tyre, swingarm, suspension, etc remain unchanged.

If the tail section can be fit onto the old R15 then im definately gonna get it fixed but its not that i hate the present rear end but the new one is better.
                                Cheers
