i asked him if the old R15 can get the upgrades as direct fit,Originally posted by xionite View Posthmmmmm... that's weird... coz the current R15 swing-arm can accommodate
an FZ rear mag-wheel AND an FZ 140/70 tyre.
so the "new swing-arm" theory is unlikely.
then he said tail part can be a direct fit but swingarm is new, about the performance he said it(tyre) has been designed not to hamper the performance

Well, I certainly have no complaints with the rear end.... after having lived with the rear end of RD350 and RX100 for years, this one is far better....Originally posted by xionite View Post
i haven't found one R15 owner who's happy with the current rear-end.Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

The red and white version was a limited edition...i guess. And if the new R15 is only about cosmetic changes, I would love to see the projector headlight and under seat exhaust as in R1....it would boost the true sporty character the R15.Originally posted by eliksir View Postthe yamaha dealer in my city said it'll have only cosmetic changes (thats what they were 'informed' ). no idea about pricing of the new one and no idea whether the current one would be stored.
BTW, when did the red and white R15 come in ?
looks really really awesome.

Would think about it... no denying... however consider this... I have not changed the radiator even though its free and I have received phone calls for the same... why fix something that is not broken...Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

Its good if thats the case.Originally posted by aman2701 View Posti asked him if the old R15 can get the upgrades as direct fit,
then he said tail part can be a direct fit but swingarm is new, about the performance he said it(tyre) has been designed not to hamper the performance
Present owners who wish to upgrade the looks of the bike can do so without too much of a hassle and also he is used to the performance of his machine which would remain unchanged as the tyre, swingarm, suspension, etc remain unchanged.
If the tail section can be fit onto the old R15 then im definately gonna get it fixed but its not that i hate the present rear end but the new one is better.
