I dont think he meant to say that because later he has mentioned

    "what lowered product?

do u really think Yamaha will mess up an "upgraded" R15? "

plus I do not think there will be a under-powered R15 because we have already seen a mail from Yamaha back office stating that there will be slight bump in price and I seriously do not think they will do it for a underpowered R-15

My thoughts are there is only one bike coming out a Revamped R15 with a slight price hike..

no R125 (this is not coming to india in near future) no R14 (underpowered) or so....

All the other specualtions are bound to happen whenever there is a new release

    • all this 15 bhp stuff is nothing but crap. the mail from yamaha back office has already clarified that the "new r15" will be priced a tad higher. will yamaha be foolish enough to launch the r125 at a higher price than the r15?the spy pics have shown that the new bike sports bigger tyres ,which in no way will help the cause of a 15 bhp bike .may be the dealer could be talking about a 15 bhp fazer, considering the fact that a fazer was also spotted along with the r15 during the test rides vaibhav captured.

It will have the new rear suspension as well like the R125
It takes more love to share the saddle than it does to share the bed.

As I rode the bike I felt it thrilling and more aggressive than a R15 (if we donot compare the paper power figures of 14 and 17 as said by you, yes the power figures have their significance, but there is more than power about a bike), Ride it to believe it is what I could say, No more arguments I have to do, lets finish this topic here, as it will go nowhere and does'nt serves the purpose of this thread.

No I have not ridden both the bikes on track and varying terrains. Just in normal conditions as all the riders do. And I am confident enough that normal riding does serves the purpose that I am able to tell the tid-bits about the two bikes.

Please! If you want more technological reasons, I donot even have one of them, I was told by the owner of R125 who is a friend of mine and has ridden the R15 too. If you find my posts misleading and unappropriate than I am sorry. Lets close this discussion here only.
how did you get "thrilled" by the r125 ,was it the lower torque and power that thrilled you ? and what was more "aggressive" about it ?
please clarify since you have ridden the bike your friend owns .

Hmmm... don't know about that but will very likely have white face dial with red backlighting like the latest R125.... just speculation but likely as its not going to cost them anything more in development cost... its a direct fit to the R15...

I have tried the bike in U.K. Believe me when I say that the feel is that of a big bike... infact most people mistake it for an R6... as far as riding it is concerned... its a blast to ride on the U.K. roads... but if you feel that the R15 has no low to mid range, this bike is worst in the low to mid range... but get it up in the rpm range and it screams and will put a smile on your face...

Hey i guys, as you can see above i had sent a email to Yamaha back office guys and this was the message they had sent me back. As opposed to the so-called statements as told by other members, mine defers totally. Its clear that the back office guys are not into acknowledging the presence of a new R15. Either ways, by the tone of the reply(they are looking forward to know which dealer..), i guess they have some information to hide from us right now.

So Im pretty sure that there is a new R15 or related bike coming up. Everything else discussed in this thread is pretty much senseless speculation/bullshit IMO.

Feel free to derive your own opinions.
