Today there is not much differenace between the prices of any 150 - 180 and the FZ Series.Originally posted by svjhonda View Post^
Haha. As if....

Phew. Posting after a long time. The bike looks fresh, the rear tail looks good. The mudguard looks fugly (hope its so in the spy pic, and looks better in reality).
And seriously, what has the Fazer taught us? Add a couple more good looking plastic parts, up the price and people buy it! Simple. Exact same philosophy. No offense to Fazer or FZ riders. Both bikes are excellent machines, just I don't understand the price.

Yamaha has not hiked prices after launch (If I am right ???) and others have hiked prices over the past 1 or 1 and 1/2 years.

So there might be a possibility of the bike being heavier than the current one!!Originally posted by aman2701 View PostHad a talk with yamaha headoffice guy, according to him
its a new swingarm to accommodate the broader tyre....again no change in engine power

no ways yamaha will downgrade the bike! com'on guys it is a YZF-R series bike. on the contrary i think yamaha will rather look for increasing the power by keeping the same displacement of 150cc!
R15 has built up a benchmark for itself that no bike has managed to reach. i dont think they will want to loose this!! yamaha (new)R15 will only improve over the (old)R15

hmmmmm... that's weird... coz the current R15 swing-arm can accommodateOriginally posted by aman2701 View PostHad a talk with yamaha headoffice guy, according to him

an FZ rear mag-wheel AND an FZ 140/70 tyre.
so the "new swing-arm" theory is unlikely.
they've also managed to "uncrap" the current R15 tear end.Originally posted by nitrosatya View PostYamaha had to give in to posers and make the rear end like the imported bikes!
the design update is brilliant.
it's not going to be 15ps.Originally posted by nitrosatya View PostAfter all they want to make money, performance be damned!
17 bhp downgraded to 15 bhp. What a shame!

I wonder what would be the status of old R15 after the new one is launched?
. They might stop the older version to boost the sales of the new one if tis the same power with tail & tyre upgrade alone.

The increase in performance is directly proportional to the size of the hole in your pocket :D
