What i can think of that Yamaha has already started production to meet the bookings and delivery on time. Here in Lucknow getting the current R15 is now almost impossible since none of the 3 dealers have the pieces left.www.motorcykle.in - The lighter side of motorcycling

The bike looks very nice and big (atleast in the pic).. But yes, didn't like the rear mud guard/hugger.. Otherwise, it does beat the baby CBR in terms of looks..
Also I feel the engine is upgraded (to 200 or 250cc, whatever) too, because looking at the changes it occurs that the bike has gained weight and with the same engine (power) the bike will underperform.. So there has to be an upgrade in terms of power as well.. Fingers Crossed..
I think it will be a good idea not to go for the CBR (anyway my tentative delivery date is 10th August'11
) as of now and to wait till this R15/25 is launched..
This news may push HONDA to increase CBR production so that they can deliver as many bikes as they can before the Upgraded R15 launch and also to avoid the increase in the "booking cancellation"..

Hey I have a hunch that you know more... please do tell us..Originally posted by xionite View Postwhile it is a picture of him sitting on the bike.
that doesn't mean HE was the one who leaked the picture.
in all probability it was the guy who clicked the pic.
so it kinda clears his name... in a way.
also... there are a few "better pics" that'll be circulating within the next 48 hours.
dont keep it a secret.. Let it out.... We are hungry for more!!!

The bike now looks lil bigger and better. Before the rear portion of R15 was always an eyesore to me and not anymore. They have tried to give a bigger bike look at the rear but the tyre hugger, the pillion foot rest and exhaust didn't help it, the rear panel is awesome. Looks like the ergonomics has also been changed towards sportier side which i doubt will affect long rides
. I doubt they might have done anything on the performance side, considering the similar kind of stuff they do with the FZ series only tweaking the looks and not touching the engine. Since R15 has already proved its potential i don't think they would over do on the engine for more performance. Surely this upgrade will boost the sales figure of R15 without doubt.

I am not sure about the bike whether its a R15 replacement. The ********** site say the bike will have 22PS power which might indicate a R25 but then yamaha is very much capable of pulling that out of its hat. If all that information is true then YAMAHA you have one more customer waiting for the bike
Good I don't like the winged things and did not book the CBR250 hhehehehehe

Well the plant will not only cater to India, but to rest of the world also, along with Thai plant. So I doubt if it will affect much in terms of production. But yes, this is going to give CBR a run for its money.Originally posted by crazy_NJ View PostCorrected in BOLD..
