pricing will be the same....I am sure...
they must have heavily localized this revamped version of R15....
+ they must be looking to increase their market share and kill competition from honda, hero honda and bajaj in terms of cost and design....
I am very much happy as the model in pic is production ready, infact i think its already under production.....sigpic
A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith and use up a lot of fuel....

could anyone informed, shed some light on my query.Originally posted by airbase View PostIs there DRL fitted in the new R15? Also, my unattended question:
Doesnt it look, this bike has a slightly relaxed sitting posture (may be due to raised handle/ lowered seat height)

Thanks in advance.Ride safe..wear helmet.
Love trance..? you gotta listen to this

If it is indeed the Revamped R-15 with just cosmetic upgrade and no changes in Power delivery/performance front; how's Yamaha going to justify the current Slim and malnourished rear of R-15???
what would Yamaha's response to current R-15 owners??? Won't it would be making a Batch of unsatisfied customer base, if they can not justify the current engineering of R-15.
I mean, come on.. Its not just another paint job like HH... Its a completely overhauled bike in terms of cosmetic Design at minimum if no engine upgrade.
If there is an increase in Power etc; they should have discontinued current model a little earlier so that people who bought the current model won't feel cheated and frustrated, as I see, the current model is still on sale.
They should provide upgrades to current R-15 owners as well (may be for a little extra money) IF This is ONLY COSMETIC upgrade
and its not going to effect the handling of the bike.
Just my thought as a recent buyer of current Model; I'd already lost 6 months of biking pleasure waiting for this launch.. then I come to know that the current model is still in production and selling.. So logically no one could think that a new revision/model of an existing product would be hastily launched.
So, many people like me who bought this bike in recent months time span would definitely feel cheated.
On another note, If its not revamped R-15 but some bigger mill in R-series (may be R17 or R20 or R25) It would be my next upgrade

(I just noticed on the Ninja thread that you have booked one for yourself. So I believe I'm not wrong in inferring that unlike what you have stated above, there is no R25 coming)Originally posted by pravu View PostHold your breath guys, the actual R25 is yet to reveal itself. Yamaha enjoys clandestine ways as often. This is not R25. You gotta wait till end of June for a bigger cc from Yamaha.

Originally posted by pravu View PostYamaha is the only brand which does not believe doing promos prior to its launch and the underlying reason is the superb machines which back themselves with their stimulating performances. You guys agree to this I know very well. All you can do now is to bear with the time a little more. But do not expect wallet friendly deal all the time. The price tag may lie on the upper side but every dime spent would be justified by the performance just like the R15 did/does.

After all the above posts, can you please justify to members here the reasons for the misinformation & rudeness in your above posts?
Please own up if you were just fooling around, for reasons better known to you.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

@sauravh: I dont think that it's just a cosmetic change. From what I read in the forum in the last many pages the chassis and swingarm have changed too. And a engine tweak too. So don't get dis-appointed, both the bikes are equally good.
I would rather be riding my bike thinking of God, than sitting in the temple thinking of my bike.

@MODS: Owing to lack of clarity about the bike, can you please re-title the thread as "Fresh picture of New R-series bike from Yamaha - Page 67, Post No. 668"
