That's a different bike, the faring looks very different from this bike and the rear seat is also lower.Originally posted by yamaha_yzf_r15Yamaha New R15, Review, Price, Yamaha Bikes India, Comparison, Images, Variants

Since the leaked image matches with one of the MCN leaked images from quite a while back, I think the remaining MCN images show the bike accurately. And if so, the front remains unchanged.

the tail looks hot

I tried super-imposing the yamaha vixion's frame on both the new and old R15. It fits perfectly in case of old R15 but NOT with the new R15. So I think yamaha has redesigned the rear sub-frame and that the new tail WON'T be a direct fit on the existing R15.

Good stuff there Chiku. If what you say is true, then changing the tail will cost lot more than I though it would.Originally posted by chiku181 View PostI tried super-imposing the yamaha vixion's frame on both the new and old R15. PS: Both the bikes in the pic are not of the same scale (the MCN pic is a bit bigger). Even after bringing it down to the same scale, you point will still hold good though.

The pleasure is when your rear wheel slides, and you bring it back; and when the front wheel lifts, you take your time bringing it back.

Brilliant idea, but incorrect assumption...
You might want to first resize the MCN pics.. you could super impose the front tyre of the two bikes and use the same dimension as reference for the chassis -subframe angle!
but seriously good stuff!
Edit: The rear tyre has a clever 'saree' guard! What a clever peice of engineering! Honda CBR take some cues!Super CommuTOURer - Talk less, Ride more

the MCN pic was slightly bigger than the maroon R15.
resized it.
while it might seem like the 2011 R15 has a MUCH BIGGER swingarm.
i don't think that's true.
here it is... broken down.

IMAGE HOSTED ON TINYPIC
the new tail is higher & shorter than the current R15.
so it just makes the swingarm look much longer.
i'd say the swingarm size increase is about 20mm or less.
