A higher gear ratio will be quite dissapointing.
Means the bike will be slower to accelerate.
I would rather preffer a lower gear ratio to aid acceleration cause its not everyday that we hit top speeds but hard acceleration would be more useful.

        This is 100% acurate information....!
To all the pune members this bike was there in pune when I was around last month.... there was some training thing and where the bike was demonstrated. Somewhere on this huge thread there was a post about it to

PS: It is obviously not there at the YFS but had come there in the evening during some unloading work.

              • Today I communicated with Yamaha and here's what I infer from the conversation:

The bike is yet to undergo some changes. The bike in the photo is not exactly how the final product will look like. They were concerned that the readers will be misled and hence they requested us to remove the pic.

And it also implies that there is a new R15 to be launched very soon

                  hmmmmm. weird!

looked pretty much like a final product.

unless that pic was taken before they could put on the NEW front end.

maybe it'll look exactly like and R125.

with or without pictures... how "misled" could users get?

                    • Pricing...

Whatever be the final product, I sure hope it stays within my pocket's limits as I definitely cannot afford anything higher than the current Yamaha R15 that's been there in the market all this time

if it was the reply from yamaha back office guys then we cant believe anything they say ...if it was from an official then all we can do is wait and watch...

                          • No need to do any more change in the design. We are very much happy with the current design.
As far as Saree guard and Tyre hugger is concerned, leave it on us,we will remove it by our own.

                            • If its not the final product then yamaha redesign the rear hugger and beef up the tank. Thoda sa aur CC and BHP bhi dal dena, ho jayega sone pe suhaga
