This most likely is. Consider if they have more manufactured units than regular requirement in Stock. And looking at the Bajaj's history, do you think this is an 'update'. Are there any official launches? no. so this cant be an update. Even if this is an update, well this is not the time to release it. Every year they bring updates/lauches to Pulsar platform in october. Considering 10th anniversary of Pulsars this October gotta be BIG. Lets just wait n watch.

it makes no sense to clear stocks by bringing out cosmetically upgraded versions. If one needs to clear stocks then a manufacturer will do it quietly. not by launching a cosmetically upgraded version.
the current pulsars are still selling way better than the competition, the cosmetic upgrade means that bajaj is only interested in extending their life cycle.
the totally new Pulsars will come and take the game so far ahead that the competition will be just left battling with the current Pulsars.
