I guess even 10.5 is good. Even if it gives only 30Kmpl, it means 300Kms at once.
And not everyone takes a bike for tours only. Tours happen only once in a month or so.
+ 100 to what u say bro
u'r profile pic says whats u'r attitude
everyone will take a pit stop within every 100 kms max..
even Ninja 250r deliver 32-35 kmpl on good riding. so 10.5l tank so enough for a tourer

Well, it may have good touring capabilities but I am sure more than 90% of bike buyers don't think about touring when purchasing a bike. Most bike buyers don't know about a lot of things which are basic stuff for xBhp guys. I am sure most don't even look at bhp of bike. They just go after cc. Looks, for a general biker out there, tops the chart. Look at CBR250R and R15 v2. The price difference between the two bikes is not much but still we see more R15 v2 on roads than CBR250R. Why? Because R15 rider gets more headturns on road than a CBR rider even though there's a difference of a good 8bhp and 100cc. So, it does depend a lot on how Duke looks in flesh and of course, how it's priced.

Sweeping statements bro.. sweeping statements..
Rs. 30K price difference between the R15 (1.1 Lakhs ex-showroom) and CBR250R (Rs. 1.4 lakhs ex-showroom for the base version) is NOT an small amount for Indians.
Also the CBR250R has just arrived in the market.. the R15 has been around since 2008.

@Payeng: do you have any pics of baby duke alongside other bikes. I just wanna get the idea of propotions. It looked quite beefy next to that cycle thoughOriginally posted by payeng View PostThis is what you need for Long distance Touring:
A comfortble upright riding stance (easy on the back and arms for long stints on the saddle)
+
rearset footpegs (to let you stay control and for sporty feel).

Only a biker knows why a dog sticks his head out of a car window.

Sorry.. Which cycle?Originally posted by Wanted DoA View Post@Payeng: do you have any pics of baby duke alongside other bikes. I just wanna get the idea of propotions. It looked quite beefy next to that cycle though
The photo posted above is a screen shot from the many 125 Duke videos on YouTube.
From the specs of the 200 Duke, it shows that its wheelbase is longer than even the Pulsar 220 and the Karizma..!!

Yes going by the wheelbase I imagine this to be quite large. but the duke 125 doesn't look that big in pictures. but that is maybe europians are taller/bigger in build

exaclty!! Duke 200 is certainly got the big bike looks. Once it is on roads, everyone will get a feel of how big this looks. May be minimalistic styling/low weight is tricking people to believe it's a small bike.Originally posted by Wanted DoA View PostThat picture on first page of the other thread (Ktm duke 200 spotted in pune...).

The 200 Duke can't be small in size with a wheelbase that is longer than the P220 or Karizma. Even the 810 mm seat height is the second tallest (the Impluse having a 835 mm seat height)
Even Off-Road bikes look small in photos because of their minimalistic styling.. but in reality Off-Road bikes are tall and huge.. even the Hero Impluse is actually a bike for tall big guys.
Also the KTM 125/200 Duke has been specially designed for Europeans.. who are among the tallest (& well built) races.. and so far we have always seen Europeans on the 125 Duke.

R15 Vs CBR250R, qualifies as OT for this thread. My request, refrain from it on this thread.Originally posted by Digital_shubhiWell, CBR is a better head turner than R15. R15 looks way smaller when compared to CBR250R. Even at night time! Just check out the headlight at night when you see some CBR. A R15 light at night will look simple as people know that its a R15 or Fazer with that kinda headlight but a CBR being a new Bike looks super hot at night too.
And people who got money will go for CBR(And I am talking about ABS version which costs 60K more than R15)) most of the time or else Ninja 250R.
