Does any one else also feel that KTM 200 can be used as a platform for a "fully faired" motorcycle which Bajaj would be keen on launching in India. It can be launched in competition to CBR250....Originally posted by Ivin View PostEven that doesnt matter.... With this performance (I really doubt the 25hp for Indian version), many would consider this bike at 1.5L.
CBR 25BHP , 250cc
200DUKE 25BHP 200cc
The weight difference will make this bike a rocket....
I really beleive Bajaj... It will be 25hp in India too...
While this goin round... my svc manager here says a new Fastest Indian is soon coming from Bajaj...

Oh yeah its good but Putting a bigger bore (250/300) with 30 ps will easily take Honda back to drawing boardOriginally posted by kkrk2 View PostDoes any one else also feel that KTM 200 can be used as a platform for a "fully faired" motorcycle which Bajaj would be keen on launching in India. and literally Yamaha will be forced to build YZF R25!

I doubt if KTM or Bajaj will do it, but our local Janta will definitely do it, I have seen so many Honda Stunners and pulsars with the R15 fairingOriginally posted by kkrk2 View PostDoes any one else also feel that KTM 200 can be used as a platform for a "fully faired" motorcycle which Bajaj would be keen on launching in India. If its true, then it should be the worthiest upgrade from my RTR....Originally posted by vrugonnab View PostKTM launches Duke 200 at EICMA
seems like bsmotoring expecting this bike to be priced at 1.2 - 1.35 L, if that happens then that would be end of the road for competition. I mean that will make anybody think twice before going for the other bikes.
but the Torque figures are no where to be found...
yes and with the liquid cooling in KTM, no worries of engine heat up as well...Originally posted by bprags View PostI doubt if KTM or Bajaj will do it, but our local Janta will definitely do it, I have seen so many Honda Stunners and pulsars with the R15 fairing
.
But I seriously doubt,"posers" would like to get these bikes....they hve many options....
now what I am seriously waiting for,is a ride report.....atlast seems like my next upgrade....HH Dawn - TVS Star City - Yamaha Gladiator - TVS RTR 180 - Honda CBR 250R - Yamaha R3

this will give a better idea about its road presence to all the guys who are worried about duke's size and comparison with other bike...
in first picture its standing with Yamaha MT 01...and in others its sharing space with Yamaha R125....
and let me tell you my friends....Yamaha MT 01 is a 1700cc monster with a weight of around 245 kilograms and if ktm duke can match with huge build of that naked monster then it can easily compete with the road presence of cbr 250, p220, r15 etc.....Last edited by Naveen1985; 11-12-2011, 02:16 PM.sigpic

will soon post a picture of duke with r6...Originally posted by payeng View PostGreat comparison pics.
And mind you the European R125 in the pics posted above is much bigger in dimension than the Indian R15. The R125 (photo posted above) is dimensionally equal in size to the Yamaha R6..!!
I am searching it on my lappy....sigpic

Duke surely is a big bike....got a chance to see its spare parts here in Mumbai....and the tank indeed looked huge....something similar to the GS...might be the part at which stickering is done made it look large....

may be the mods should start a poll here asking how many of them likes fully faired and naked....
that would bring some opinion that how many of them still like faired bikes
and
this clearly shows abt speedo console it has fuel gauge
