I booked today. Most of the people I talked to(Including the store representatives) told that day-1 tally was 120. And yeah this is Bangalore's numbers

Not sure about that But going by the representative's tone, I'm guessing it must be per Store.(Because he said I'll be getting it in the first lot!)

Kilos indeed - the first lot frenzy - once it is over, the sales could settle down - the biggest turn down is the 90 days waiting period which is reiterated by the showroom folks, coupled with the 200 NS launch/bookings - would develop a nice equation!

Booked mine on Feb 1 at KTM Vasant Kunj, Delhi.
I was the first person to book it there, so, I'll be the first one to receive it once they get the delivery of their first lot.
Hope it's soon, the wait is unbearable.

But here is the link to my Complete Review:
Ride Review: KTM 200 Duke - Agent Orange | Bike Chronicles of India

"Brutal, brash, in your face with a heavy dose of attitude and with a good amount of substance to back it up"

That’s the KTM 200 Duke for you, a purpose built street scorcher that is blissfully unapologetic about its single minded focus to provide a kind of motorcycling thrill that was last seen during the 2 stroke era of the RD350’s and RX100’s.

                      >> Looks/Styling: "A Street Fighter with KTM (off road) genes"

                      >> Quality, Fit & Finish: "Best seen on any India made bike till date"

                      >> Riding Stance: "Comfortable yet aggressive/commanding"

                      >> Engine Performance: "A brutal short stroke + short geared powerhouse"

                      >> Clutch + Gearshift: "A quick shifting sweet box"

                      >> Ride Quality: "Perfectly Firm: Neither too soft, nor too hard"

                      >> Brakes: "Excellent"

                      >> Handling & Stability: "Amazingly light & flickable around corners and stable in a straight line at high speeds"

Lasting Impression: "Obviously not a road racing Super Sports replica model, but the 200 Duke could still be an interesting ride for those looking for a drift/slide "Supermoto style" riding around the race track. Also the upright and comfortable riding posture should be easy on the rider’s spine who might want to venture out on long trips lasting for weeks/months.

Most importantly riding the KTM 200 Duke makes me feel 15 years younger. Mid-life crisis? Bring it on, I am loving it. With an attractive price tag of Rs. 1.17 lakhs (Ex-Showroom), very soon "Agent Orange" should be in my arsenal."

                          • these more than justify the premium one has to pay for Duke 200 Vs new Pulsar :
                            • up-market KTM Brand
                            • Fuel-injection
                            • Exclusivity (in a herd of Pulsars)
                            • Ride & handling
                            • looks (few like me think the design of Pulsar 200 is a over-dose,hit-you-face type while Duke, is, well-like 'charming prince')

All the booking stats confirm 'KTM Duke 200' will be the choice of passionate bikers!
Grip. Twist. Ride-with Menacingly FAST Apache 180 ABS!

I have to appreciate Bajaj's sense of positioning. Earlier, I anticipated that the Pulsar would be a overgeared full faired tourer having the full 25 bhp's with smaller tyres. And that would kill the Duke's sales then and there.

But how well they positioned these bikes, that each has its own charm:
Pulsar's charm being cost, different design and power x mileage combo.
Duke's being the wheelie inducing acceleration, excellent component level and lesser weight.

Well done Bajaj. Both bikes will find its takers, rest assured!

+1. .pulsar is just overdone apart from the headlight.

                                @payeng,
as a probable wingrider-to-be I'd like to know if this offers the same performance(or better for that matter)than the ceeber??cbr gives good mileage for one thing but the price at which duke is offered is tempting nonetheless.I would be using my ride for highways 60-70% of the time.I test drove the cbr and loved the torque.duke=same??u must have ridden both anyways.how would u compare?I mean torque thru the rev range, ride quality wrt to cbr.I think 130 is max achievable safe speed on Indian highways.was the engine stressed at this point on duke?ceeber definitely had more punch when I td on the highway at 130. .
