i honestly havnt driven cbz or fiero, but when i was reading cbz ownership thread came to know that classic cbz wasnt the smooth one like now and also had bad gearbox, but here most are saying fiero had smoothest engine really then why didnt it click and how come classic pulsar even with niggles was a run away success , was it just because of fe?Originally posted by payeng View PostI agree. It was the conservative and safe attitude of TVS due to which the Fiero couldn't fire the imagination and the sales charts. Ultimately it had to be put down. Pity the engine and gearbox which was ultra smooth.
P.s at that time i was in 8th std or something and was a pulsar fan mainly because of and the ad and also the fact its indian company

I ask you to take 2001's CBZ and Fiero and then compare with today's (or maybe 2009's is better idea) RTR 160 Fi to the Unicorn. Unicorn was considered a "family bike" with ultra-refined engine so it had a market albeit a different one from that of the RTR which was considered the mod friendly entry-level race bike. Similarly was the case with CBZ and Fiero. Fiero WAS a runaway success BTW, TVS just kept selling it for too long.Originally posted by abhiiceman View Posti honestly havnt driven cbz or fiero, but when i was reading cbz ownership thread came to know that classic cbz wasnt the smooth one like now and also had bad gearbox, but here most are saying fiero had smoothest engine really then why didnt it click and how come classic pulsar even with niggles was a run away success , was it just because of fe?
PS: Strange karma though isn't it, that the Fiero evolved into the Apache RTR 160 Fi, and today's CBZ has Unicorn engine

Currently without a vehicle. Uber App and Bangalore Metro serving all my travel needs.

IMO, General Public loves Pulsar where as Bike Enthusiastic loves RTR & R15 series...

I find it interesting, 8 out of 10 people gave negative feedback about my new Beast when they first saw it online (Still Image/Pitcure)Originally posted by n.krishna.p View PostHad a look at the refreshed Apache RTR, it does not look that bad as it is made out to be. The tank shrouds should have been a size or two small to ensure that it sunk in well with the design.
Like the DRLs by the way.
but when i bought it back to home, i havent seen anybody who said older version looks better then this... Watch it practically you will surely love this model, it really looks beasty.
