Only tangible benefit of fuel injection is the hassle free (choke free) starts in the mornings.

Other benefits like increase in fuel efficiency, power are exaggerated and can hardly be perceived (if any). The only reason why Fi would finally make it on motorcycles would be to adhere to pollution norms when they become very very stringent (like cars finally had to do 15 years back in India).

Only from the point of view to the normal customer (the ones who make up the bulk who buy the motorcycles and keeps the companies afloat). They would glefully pay 20K extra for a full faired bike than pay 15K extra for Fi.. (never mind even if there is no increase in performance or the plastics weigh 10Kg extra due to the full fairing).

Personally I would prefer a Fi system for 15K extra than a full fairing.

Dude that "stupid" third spark plug saves you 6K when you have to replace the silencer.

And how come have you arrived at the costing details of the extra plus vs. adding Fi..?? Wild assumptions I guess.

10K for the Fi, 10K for ABS. I don't mind if the Power is identical to the carb (current) version, but a slight increase in the Torque would be lovely.

Plus would be great if a "Projector" Low Beam and LED DRL's are thrown in as extra goodies.

Make ABS Mandatory in all future vehicle, and looking at other bajaj parts price & sales/marketting funda it won't be as costly as the on Apache have .... If it come's with both FI & ABS then it might be 15k hike in OG price ... but it's worthy ... Atleast ABS is worthy...

If they do that, then how do they differentiate Duke from Pulsar? then both will have FI+ABS+same head, so why would someone pay premium to buy Duke 200 over P200NS?

FI is good. ABS is great..... Provided, it aint C-ABS,like CBR. I would rather prefer Individual wheel ABS like the RTRs, which are VFM.
But, do you think, it would sale in good numbers?? I am skeptical, after seeing the no of RTR ABS/CBR ABS being sold in comparision to the non ABS versions.... But they should always have an option for the enthusiasts atleast, to keep them interested.

and the question remains why do i race?

A faired FI will be awesome.
But what was the fault in previous gen P220's FI system?

In my 75000kms of run, Fuel Pump was replaced once!!!
Let's not deviate from the topic. Unlike P220 this is a understandable progression. Launch a carb version & then Fi. My only wish is that they continue both.

zmr's pgm-fi ,developed by honda,is a gem,so is yamaha's 6 hole injection system unlike delphi's fi system which is of inferior quality, that's why both rtr-fi and 220 fi was discontinued.
