One thing I always notice on my P220 when doing high speeds(wearing a helmet at all times though thru almost 0 traffic situations)is that it benefits from its awesome front:rear
weight distribution aiding its confidence inspiring handling. To an extent that even bigger cars have drafted behind,honest!P375 will surely take this stability marvel to another notch and also put an end to those so called quality woes!

Let me make a small statement here, the weight distribution of the old 200 and 220 is actually pretty poor, the front end is very heavy for the old 200 and 220, and with the 220 even heavier with the fairing and the heavy headlight assembly, it isn't very good for handling, unless you are talking about straight line running, in which place i wouldn't say it to be handling of the bike, it is just the sheer weight.

Now the 200ns is a different story alltogether, it is a heavy bike, but once you sit on it, the weight is almost non-existent, that is some quality weight distribution and mass centralization is the way to go. Ever wondered why the bike has an underbelly exhaust ? and that trend is kinda getting up to every motorcycle manufacturer lately.

    Cheers

Yesterday I'd got my 220 fork oil seal replaced at Sai Service, Dhanori, Pune. The dealer was shown the Pulsar 375 at BAJAJ, Chakhan. It will be launched in all probability by Diwali. Though I've read somewhere, a Dec or Jan 14 launch is being contemplated. That would help BAJAJ to focus on the DUKE 390 & the new pulsar 150. Also 4-6 discovers will be launched.

Madmax_220 Riders like you and I feel our bikes are light and nimble as our bodies and minds have accustomed to it. Such conditioning is what makes riders manoeuvre heavy SBKs and cruisers comfortably.

I feel my bike's weight when I park it into awkward spots or while reversing up a slope with only my limb power. Trade in your bike for a Duke for a few months and get back to the 220- you'll be stunned to find it as light as a truck and as nimble as a cow!

Not only new discovers but 5-6 new pulsars are also being developed. We know two of them P160/180 and P375. What about other four...are they faired versions of new series of Pulsars?

Today, I have half-a-dozen Pulsars and am developing half-a-dozen more.

seems like bajaj is now ready with a full-on assault ... all segments of motorcycle...offering the very best and most VFM machines.

however i think they should change a few things-->

            (1) seat height: the current seat height of P200NS is too much and smaller riders will not purchase it, a sizeable section of riders.

            (2) ride comfort: the rear suspension is too hard to provide a comfortable ride on pothole and mountain size speedbreakers. while some may argue with streetfighter handling and etc etc.. but comfort does matter

Dear brother. Thank you for the update. Rajeev BAJAJ only mentioned 2 pulsars in his interview.Still, I'm certain many more pulsars will be launched. I have no updates on them boss. Can you share the source of your info on 5-6 pulsars in development. I would love to read that post Probably, BAJAJ will showcase their new product portfolio in the 2014 Auto Expo. Also, KTM will show the RC series & (hopefully) Supermoto 125, 200 & 390 at Milan expo in Nov 2013. We can be assured that there will be some platform, design & technology sharing Enjoy the torque

Having half a dozen pulsars TODAY can also mean the current scenario i.e. P135, P150, P180, P220, P200NS and P375. He didnt say that he's got half a dozen pulsars for launch. BAL may be developing more pulsars for sure but I dont think he meant in anyway that he's got half a dozen pulsars lined up for launch.

Completely disagree with this, firstly because taller guys already have very limited choice (even Duke is not friendly to 6-footers) and secondly because it is possible for a smaller guy to manage on a bigger bike (I have seen people wearing woodlands to reach the ground) but next to impossible for a bigger guy to be comfortable on a smaller bike.

The best thing is some sort of adaptive suspension which can be raised or lowered and changeable seats, but I don't think manufacturers consider these kind of things worth investing in for a mass-market bike.

^^ it is not neccessary to increase the seat height to make the bike comfirtable for taller guys. there are a lot of bikes with less seat height and yet accomodates the taller guys well ...

Main reason I did not get 200 ns was because of its height, wearing woodlands always is not practical. My bike is RTR and I have managed to not drop the bike on many occasions due to lower seat height. After loading with a pillion, the difficulty again increases.

I had the exact reverse experience on a friend's RTR. I was riding with him pillion. In just ten minutes my knee joints felt like they were on fire and in some more time my back and arms would also have given away. It was hurting so much that we had another kilometre to cover and I decided to walk as I couldn't even sit as pillion (pillion hurt more than riding which is why I was riding in the first place). This was sad because I actually loved the bike's exhaust note and IMO its the best sounding exhaust on a bike this side of 1 lac.

I am not trying to justify anything here, but lets just agree that its great when people have choice. I wouldn't want ALL bikes to be built for short or tall people. Bajaj actually gives you choice - while short riders find the Pulsar 180 and Pulsar 200NS uncomfortable, they have the Avenger, Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 135LS. Nobody is left out, unlike companies like KTM (in India) or TVS which do not cater to 6 footers at all.

Being comfortable on a motorcycle has more to do with overall motorcycle proportions than just the seat height alone. There are motorcycles with pretty low seat heights that fit short and tall guys alike, for example, Yamaha FZ16/S/Fazer, Ninja 250 (2012 and earlier).

exactly, this is what i was saying, add a GT to that list .

anyway, to each his own... let everybody get a bike he is comfortable on.

Seeing that 390 duke costs 1.8 ex-showroom, I can't see P375 costing much more than 1.5L ex-showroom. That would be completely nuts!
