Theres not much difference dude. Below the Head, everything is common between D200 and P200 NS, even the gear ratios, barring the sprocket and tyre sizes along with the differences mentioned by you.

Carb was opted in lieu of FI to keep the costs down along with choice of rubber and chasis.

as there is no much compitetion in 350cc segment bajaj got amfill time
Bajaj will be following the quote "slow and steady wins the market "
once its happy with the market response they can go with next level ie.. 375cc and more may be

There is too big a gap between the 200 NS (cc) and the KTM derived 375 cc engine... and too small a difference between a hypothetical 350 cc and the 375 cc.

If I can read Mr. Bajaj's business mind correctly, there is a sweet spot between the 200NS and the 375 Pulsar.. therefore a 300 cc Pulsar makes so much sense not only in terms of engine displacement but only in terms of price.

The 200NS is at around 1 Lakh on road and going by the pricing of the 390 Duke the Big Pulsar would probably be priced at around 1.5 Lakhs On Road. This would leave a big price gap of 50K which can be bridged nicely by a 300 cc Pulsar.

Mr. Bajaj can blow the R15 and the CBR150R into pieces with a 300 cc full faired Pulsar at around the same price point near to these 150 cc full faired Yamaha and Honda..

.. personally I would love to see a Pulsar 300NS (with ABS and Fi) ..!!

And there will be tons of people who will then question the quality of material used to build a 300+cc bike which is almost same price as that of 150cc top quality cbr and r15.

Only a handful active on auto forums and auto groups on facebook will blabber.. the bulk of the population that buy these bikes are blissfully unaware what the cc or power / torque of these bikes are.. for most More Plastic and the Fatter the rear tyre = More Powerful the bike is

And whosoever might cry foul, majority would still go ahead and buy it gleefully.

And even the "educated" few active on auto forums would have to be (re)educated that exactly the same 390 Duke sells for 4 Lakh Plus on the streets of Europe and we Indians still manage to get it at 2 Lakhs on Road.. and yes with the same QUALITY.

Has anyone got any idea what's the other pulsar Bajaj is going to launch this year? and what are the chances of it being smaller than 200cc capacity?

Higher the cc, higher would be the safety standards that have to be incorporated in the bike, better should be its stability and handling than lower cc bikes. What am trying to say is the 'conventional' thinking public. If the same honda or Yamaha was to build a 300 odd cc monster, its pricing would obviously be much higher than its existing 150cc bikes. But bajaj's 300cc bike is almost same as those bikes. That's the difference what am talking about which can only happen when certain things are compromised. I for sure am happy that we are getting ktm and pulsar for a very cheap price. But when compared to other brands am saying such doubts may arrise. And when I say 'may' it means am assuming which yes, might be wrong. Just posting my opinion.

Well.. reading all the opinions above from all my fellow riders.. it makes perfect sense that Bajaj will launch only 375 CC and not any other version that is above 300CC..
There are two main logical reasons behind it.
                              1. BAL seems to be following Duke pattern so.. as Duke launched 375 CC motor.. it makes perfect sense for BAL to launch the same motor without making much investment on R&D.
                              2. I do not think there would be any launch below 375CC motor.. because if you see the BAL history.. They have hardly launched lower CC of motor after launching higer CC.. for example.. Pulsar 150 then 180 then 200 and then 220.. similarly .. for Discover.. they had 100 CC then 115 then 135 and 150.. They have never stepped down to a new lower CC engine once they have launched the higher version.. Plus if they have to launch a 350 they will have to do a whole lot of R&D.. which I don't thing BAL is doing it anymore.. apart from tweaking and little modification of Duke engines and putting it on Pulsar.
If you have never done a mistake in your life, it means you have never tried anything new.

Too much "assumptions", "imaginary arising doubts"... even the 300-350 cc are just imaginary stuff, at least till now.
