Yes XBHP has changed a lot. Well come back.
Missed your post earlier. Thanks a lot for bestowing us with the "heroes" reward. Made my day!
At least I don't speak/joke about NCAP ratings on a bikers' forum. Looks like a lot of (so called/self proclaimed) seniors/pros have to get their facts right here.

Anyways, no point arguing over these trivial things. Jisko jo sochna hai, socha. Paise thode hi lagte hain! (Thinking is free, people can think/assume whatever they wish!)

I really meant Welcome back. There's no double meaning involved, I swear. Damn this voice translator.
        ----
I didn't know the sales P200NS were low. If they are low, I believe it's because of a complete marketing failure or rather lack of marketing itself. I said the same thing after it's launch. I have utterly no idea what happened to the giant marketing king - bajaj - since the launch of this pulsar, their adorable TV campaigns have simply vanished in thin air. It's not this pulsar alone, their overall sale is down, I think these are the reasons.

        1. With no ad campaigns there is no way the Indians to know there's a new bike in the market. More than 99.99% Indians are not member of xbhp. Even if there are 2 crore net users in this country, 1 crore of them are Facebhook warriors, .99 crore are into MTV Rawdies and rest of the tiny population are into share trading. Combining TeamBhp, xbhp and other similar sites there are hardly 20k active users online in this country of 1 billion of peoples. I'm just putting it in perspective, how limited population knows what's actually being launched in the market and the brilliance of 200ns like products.

        2. Pulsar 200ns is nothing like anything Bajaj has launched before. With a little to no resemblance to earlier pulsars and with Bajaj logo taken out from tanks, people would have no idea it's a new pulsar from bajaj. On 200ns the pulsar text is quite smaller so can't be read if the bike's moving.

        3. Yes, there's a huge dumb population who thinks more CC means more power and they usually end up thinking/buying RE is the most powerful bike there is. Yet, population who knows BHP is no small either. Even when they don't quite understand the BHP witchcraft exactly, they do know for sure that more BHP means more power. TVS had quite a good success at their hands with first gen A180 which they advertised having (only) 0.04 bhp more than P180. Marketing is everything in India. Sales of faired bike saw daylight mostly because of Dhoom.

        4. Bajaj needs to train the showroom salesmen. The salesmen here who joined bajaj a decade ago still think P150 makes 13 bhp.

        5. Bajaj needs to keep their bikes as exclusive as possible. Even company like LML, in its days, had printed quite a good, thick, usable manuals for their miserable products. For the sake of cost cutting Bajaj prints a common manual for all pulsars. I mean, they simply cannot faacking ask to replace coolant to P150 owners. WTF?

        6. Bajaj doesn't do sustainable business. It does follow Apple Inc upto some (read: some) extent. Like Apple, Bajaj didn't invent most of the tech but they are always first to make it in mainstream. Like Apple, they have a rigorous control on the production pipeline. E.g. Instead of outsourcing brakes and suspension, it'd want companies like brembo etc to setup factories exclusively for bajaj. Like Apple, bajaj's profit margin is huge. Bajaj sells half as much motorcycles as Hero. But still Bajaj auto LTD earns twice as much as Hero per annum, So in theory bajaj makes 4 times more profit than Hero for each bike it makes. It's no wonder how bajaj is the biggest automotive(all 2/3/4/6/10 wheelers counting) company in this country by its power with Gandhi. And yet, still it wouldn't print separate manuals for each bike, it would sell third class oil etc. I really mean WTF?

        7. Bajaj needs to let go of their weak links. Bajaj Electricals for example, it produces more cheap rubbish than Rakhi Sawant's mouth. And that's one reason why people are so horrid about Bajaj products. Bajaj should have been teaching kids like yamaha, honda, suzuki, KTM etc how the grown ups work. But it's other way around. Big daddy Kawasaki made fighter planes and now they are into space too. Kids like Yamaha and Honda make excellent electronic stuff as a side business but they don't kid on reliability. You only need a handful of rubbish products to incapacitate the brand repo. Bajaj has brilliant as well as rubbish products under it's brand at the same time. And if you know human nature, bad stuff is well preserved than good stuff, inside the brain. It only takes a single drop of black ink in white ink bowl to turn it to gray. It only takes a few unproven accusations to Lalit Modi to let go of his acclaimed, praised, extraordinary work. People don't forget bad stuff so easily.

        8. WhyTF Bajaj is not becoming gorilla when they are having the best chance is beyond my wits. Meaning why can't they acquire TVS when it's selling cheap now. Bajaj could always put an offer infront of TVS management they can't refuse. It would be beneficial to current Indian scenerio. Lemme explain,
        a. Don't say competition killing is a bad thing for customers, because TVS is no longer competing to anyone. Bajaj's main competitors are Hero and honda. With honda so aggressive now, two indian companies merging really makes the game even.
        b. TVS has maximum number of showrooms/service centers after Hero. Yes, Bajaj being at 4th place, its service centers are so overloaded that they unethically doubled the service intervals. I mean WTF? If they acquire TVS they can get infra to help them to sell/service more bikes.
        c. Every major bike manufacturer has atleast 3-4 class of its bikes. Bajaj has only two, Pulsar and Avengers. With TVS, they can have three- apache being naked, pulsar being FF and Avengers being cruisers. Possibilities are unlimited.

        Think about what said above.
        @Divya Sharan: I don't always humor mate.

Marketing is really important. The other day I went for an oil change there and the idiot asks if I have added the fairing myself to the bike. I was lik..?? Then I told him no its the zmr and its in the market for a long time. And I think to myself now that triumph and harley have come to India and if people like him see them, they'll think its just another modded enfield.
Seriously, indian public will still need a lot of time to cope up with the biking scenario, now that it has taken a big leap.

Just a tiny update. Seems like this bike's seating position is somewhat very near to what can be called sports. And yes, its gonna be a pain in the ass and hands to get around in traffic! If you consider R15's seating position as torturous in traffic, this is gonna be chinese torture if you are gonna commute through the busiest parts of the city on this. Thankfully it has got a slightly bigger tank as it seems than the NS and a larger radiator. This ain't gonna be a bike for people who has back problems. This one goes crazy post 6-7k rpm with a okayish power in the lower gears. Fully faired, yes. One more gadget is added up on the console. Tyre specs as healthy as the KTM 390's sadly it dint get the Metz.
Hope you fairly got the idea of what you are expecting.

But the big question is that 375 or 200 or 999? From pictures it looks like a tourer bike rather than track bike like R15. We all know that one more gadget on console isn't going to be a 10-way traction control or a rocket launcher, it doesn't need saying. It's a good thing that it has a bigger tank, like you said with such tall gearing, people won't appreciate if it needed fueling now and then if cruised at 180 kph.
