That's a clever painting scheme by Bajaj on prototype bikes, no matter how good or ugly the design is, it simply erases that. You get no clue at all.

I'd suggest Suzuki to introduce same paint scheme option on some of their ugly bikes which are in production. With their ugliness gone, the sales might increase.

Are you aware that even Duke 390 is priced at about 1.9 lakh ex-showroom? how are you expecting RC390 to be priced 15k less than that?

Hahaha oh yes I do. And I hope you are aware that the Duke 200 is priced at about 1.35 lakh and the 200SS is expected to be priced at around 1-1.1 lakh. If the 200SS can be 25k cheaper than the D200, I expect Bajaj to give the 375 a smaller price tag than the D390, assuming that they wont be using exactly the same engine. It's Bajaj man. Masters of jugaad.

I heard a rumour about these faired pulsars. The first will be the 200 SS. If that is successful then only will they think of the bigger 375 Pulsar SS. :what:

Right now the NS is not selling as per their expectations. They intend big sales for SS.

Really I too heard that NS ain't selling that much, what's the problem and one more thing I observed is that I see many people (mainly some of my friends) going for 220 over NS, . .

                Cheers!!!😎

Indian mentality. More cc=faster bike. By the same logic that people argue with me that a classic 350 is faster than a 220.

Not to mention the 220 comes with a dabba attached at front which is the sure shot sign of a faster bike for the common indian mass.

I think if 200NS is not selling well then the blame squarely rests on Bajaj. They haven't marketed the 200NS as much as it should be. This being in a different category they should be persistently drilled home the message of higher performance but instead they went with an Ad which lasted all of probably 2months and they chose to think that since people are super aware of P150 that awareness will also flow to 200NS.

The problem with 200 Ns is lack of bikni fairing...also the bike looks small in dimension.

As I see it. We Indians have had naked streetbikes since the dawn of motorcycling in India. A fully faired sportsbike brings a new dimension in this monotonous market. That is the reason for their popularity. Not to forget Dhoom for making sportsbikes mainstream!

exactly. I think Bajaj was a bit too over-confident with 200NS. They believed that even if they don't advertise it aggressively, anything with the pulsar name and above 20 bhp of power will sell like hot-cakes through word-of-mouth publicity. But that was not the case. Basically 200NS does'nt have the size and presence of a big bike. It is more similar to pulsar 135 both in size and looks. Also the NS is a drastic deviation from the conventional pulsar design style. For instance, the almost invisible underbelly exhaust is not liked by many people whom I know. (BTW,I also dislike that). Indians are still conventional and we expect a powerful bike to be of impressive size, with a proper full length exhaust. Most people don't even really bother about how many plugs the bike has, or how many extra valves are there. I think Bajaj should look into this aspect more seriously.

Are you serious? If Indians want 5+5 to be 55, should mathematics change?

Those who feel that the underbelly exhaust is a waste have too much to learn. It helps in maintaining the COG of the bike as well as reduces maintenance costs in case one needs to replace the exhaust due to some reason.

Also, the number of valves and spark plugs do matter! Read about them. You may agree to disagree, but kindly do not post useless stuff on the forum. This is the herd mentality we know about and that needs to change!

Finally, welcome to XBHP and do post your introduction in the proper section. Thanks.
