Might have slightly more power to counter that. Maybe 25 bhp ...

Meanwhile more spy pics emerge. This time by Overdrive.

Spied: Bajaj Pulsar SS400/SS200 Testing In India - Overdrive

Frankly i am getting bored of these spy pics. But as long they are tested as much as possible to iron out all niggles its fine.
I guess Bajaj is targeting a launch during the festive season but i hope the bike is launched ASAP.
Same feelings here! getting bored of the speculations

Hope the launch happens soon and also the SS400 and the CS400 should be launched.

On a lighter note, people have started discussing other bikes in this thread because of the delay!

yesterday night while returning from office, saw the twin SS test mules on the side of road, so stopped to have a look closely. did a small chat with the test riders.

            few things i noted were-

            1) As told by them, it is P200SS and not 400.

            2) Headlight throw is very good.

            3) exhaust note is changed, it is more bassy and smooth now.

            4) felt a little more rev happy.

            5) they said there are some internal changes to engine. forgot to ask about FI.

            6) bike height (Seat) is less than NS, and shorter riders will now be more happy, may also improve handling.

            7) ground clearance is less than NS.

            8) riding posture is sporty and rider's upper torso is slightly leaned forward, unlike NS where you sit straight up. however it is not as sporty as R15 or CBR 250, so it is a comfortable posture yet slightly leaned forward.

            9) instrument console was blue instead of orange/yellow, but according to test riders, it is still not decided what will be the final colour.

overall i felt that it is better than NS.

Such exhaustive and rigorous testing, I guess 200 ss is going to be on par with quality of Honda, yahama, as bajaj themselve quoted to minimise production defect by 1 till 2016.

I hope Bajaj releases the deadly twins before I become an old man, loose my hair and gain some fat in the wrong places :P . Seriously this is a bad habit of showing the carrot and just letting it dangle.

Jokes apart, I hope they will make a superb high quality product raising the bar for Indian manufacturers.

By the time they launch the 400 we will start looking for a 600 .
They should have launched 400 NS &CS at the time they launched 200NS .
                          Its already too late .
High end models build the brand image so that your lower end models survive but bajaj is rather too lazy .
Yamaha will over take their sales if this continues.

LoL. First let them come to par with their Indian Counter Parts/rivals and then lets talk about the Japs

Bajaj quality at par with Japs that's a pretty big task for a company who keeps lauching products and then stopps them suddenly.

Heard it is based on the KTM DUKE 390 engine...a more refined engine than KTM. But the 200SS model will be out before the 400CS and 400SS versions.
