by saying "yes it will launch in 2015"thats it ,he throotled up revving at each gear, and went far away from us.
it seems that bajaj will launch 400ss in q1 0f 2015.and later followed by 400cs

Re: Pulsar 350/375 Spy pics: xBhp News
1.) Both 200SS and 400SS are being tested.Originally posted by 4nirban View Post- The vehicles being tested are ALL SS 200.
- FUEL INJECTION may or may not be present because;
- The fairing adds extra weight, which need to be offset by more power. If it adds an extra 30000 -35000 to the price tag, the SS 200 would cost 1.25 to 1.3 lakhs, which is quite good for a FI + ABS bike and undercuts the CBR quite nicely. This may be preceded by the KTM Duke 200 ABS (i.e. the 2014 model) and a slight price hike to maintain its premium status. (It is quite possible that Bajaj/KTM is just waiting for the current Duke 200 stock to be sold before launching the 2014 edition.)
- A fuel injection system costs about RS 15000, an ABS about RS 20000. Add to that a fairing, projector headlamps and the various LED bits, the cost more likely approaches +40000 to +45000 i.e. amounts to 1.35 to 1.4 lakhs ex-showroom, which takes it uncomfortably close to the Duke 200 and also the RC 200 (Both technically and price -wise). Plus it takes away the Duke’s FI advantage over the Pulsar. Also an FI + Triple Spark Pulsar will in all likeness be smoother and more fuel efficient than the Duke and RC if the NS 200 is anything to go by. In this case the Pulsar will lose its budget status and also may cannibalise into KTM sales. (Are ek hi daam me hood wala bike milta hai: zada tej jayega)
- Of course by now you may be asking where the hell this is coming from. I would like to draw your attention to the spy pictures of every faired Pulsars caught TESTING. You will notice that they all sport NS 200 spec tyres i.e. 100 sections in the front and 130 at the back. They also have a box section swing- arm like the NS 200. However they all sport the tell-tale ABS rings on the disk brakes, which are again the same ones as on the NS 200.
- Now let’s look at one of the earliest spy pictures available of the SS (the ones by autocarindia.com).
- Notice the tyres. They are from the Duke i.e. 110F and 150R. Notice the beefier, slightly curved swing arm. And finally notice the bigger diameter disk up front. Also the heel plate design is different. Compare this to the Pulsars on test. Notice the difference?
2.) The pics shot by Autocar are of SS400 and not of SS200.
3.) Some lucky guys will get Test version of 400SS in Last quarter of this year.
4.) 400SS launched will be followed by unveiling of a Pulsar that will change the way everyone looks at Bajaj (I am not talking about 400CS).Street racing is for Squids trying to make up for their small equipment

- In reply to 1ST statement, the spy pics of the bikes under test sport the same tyres as the 200 NS, hence the logical conclusion is that the 200 SS is being tested.
- I don't have any sources, just that when I was browsing through all the spy pics, I came over the realizations that I have elaborated in my previous post.
- I know one of the test riders claims to be riding the SS 400 but a closer look at his ride shows that it sports 200 NS rubber and swingarm. (In case he is referring to a bike not in the picture, then I apologize.)
- It is quite possible that I may have missed images of 400 SS under test, in which case I humbly ask you to furnish the same. (I do have images of still prototypes)
- If you have any new information, kindly share them with us. (Please elaborate on points 3 & 4)
- With the recent news of Bosh's low cost FI, I am more and more convinced that the SS 200 will be fuel injected. (Not that the same will be used in the SS, but towards the general trend of falling FI System prices. A price target of about 1.3 lakhs seems more probable now.)

Its looking bulky and fat may be because of inappropriate camera angles. According to me p200ns looks much more beautiful, sleek and stylish than p200ss. Fairing style is nowhere near r15 or ninja 250.sigpic

so difference with 200ss and 400ss is the graphics?... Naveen1985
its because of the absence of graphics, can you imagine a r15 wit no vinyls ..Last edited by abhiiceman; 05-14-2014, 10:29 PM.

Re: Pulsar 350/375 Spy pics: xBhp News
Looks a bit bulky for a 200cc. This raises a question in my mind - will it be slightly sluggish compared to 200ns (courtesy of additional weight of full fairing) ?--I STOP ON RED--

Re: Pulsar 350/375 Spy pics: xBhp News
it definitely look bulky and the size is more apt for 400 CC rather than 200 CC. the fairing has so many lines, creases, cuts and design elements, that in opinion, its aerodynamic performance will be compromised. i will not be surprised if it produced a lot of wind noise.
however, once the 400SS comes out, we will not have much choice in the affordable performance segment.
