Yes, they will tweak it a bit. And the price range will be much lesser than KTM.

According to latest inside news, the Pulsars will be launched before RCs. More so the 200SS will be marketed the most.
Bajaj wants everybody to divert their attention away from RCs as they will kill the Pulsars. And if the rumours are to be believed, the RC 200 might be axed completely. Only the 390 will be launched. In November.

My guess is they want to focus on 200 SS and RC 390 only.

Fair enough for them, who would in their right minds want to kill the domestic market just because they are given to manufacture bikes for international market. However they should bring out both the 200 and 400 at the same time to make max impact and get the first to market advantage.

oh no, thats a bad news for me, if they only want to focus on 200 SS and RC390, coz i like to buy a 400 SS in future.

Honestly a good decision. P200SS (around Rs. 120K) would compete the R15/CBR150, RC390(Around 220K) would compete CBR 250/300/R25. No more confusions. Frankly, there is no room for a RC200 in India(With price around Rs. 160K)

With added Fi and fairing, Pulsar would be priced around 20K dearer. And RC, around 15-20K dearer than their respective Naked variants. (D200 costs around 1.46Lac here. And D390 2.05Lac).

To me the Pulsars look better than RC's and most of the people think so, i dont think RC will kill the Pulsar, Pulsar is so popular that even a metal piece with its tag starts selling in tonnes.

To me the pulsar looks heavy.. as I have seen it in flesh.. the RC Looks simply perfect even in pics..

mass market want a bike that looks heavy, busa heavy. so pulsar does a good job in that aspect.
but enthusiasts like bikes similar to RC series sharp, nimble and distinct. IMHO RC isnt a 10 in terms of looks it more like a 7 or something. but i prefer RC over pulsar because of the KTM badge even though i own a pulsar

I haven't seen it in flesh and you never mailed me high detailed picture of it, so till the launch I must wait and then make an opinion. On the pics, my likes go to Pulsar, who knows the case may be like new ZMR?

I'm more of a tourer and New pulsar seems perfect for that, the high handlebar and riding posture but who knows I would someday prefer an RC over Pulsar.

Buddy. He was pointing at the price you qouted. It should be 1.2 Lakh and so on not 1.2K.

K is for thousand so 1.2K is 1200
