The bike would be great but the handle bar position ruins it for me. The riding posture does not at all gel with the design of the bike. Just imagine the rider crouching on the fuel tank

I find the fairing hideous , much like the Karizma R's. Bajaj could have done a better job there(if indeed it's the final cut). Let's see if it looks better in flesh.The 200NS looks better. Too many cuts and creases sometimes take the fluidity of the design away. The reason,I know I am inviting brickbats here, I do not find the MV brutale/Rivale the perfect naked design as many would tink

That line itself sums up why you feel the r15 handles better. Cause you are used to it. I however neither own the r15 nor the 200NS. But when i rode them both on the same road for a considerable distance i found the r15 handling way lower. My opinion was a neutral one cause i do not own any of the two bikes. Your opinion would obviously be biased towards r15 as you have been used to it. We are going way OT

i also somewhat agree with him.

the handlebar is jutting out of fairing like a sore thumb. apart from undesirable looks, this will negate the benefit of full fairing due to 200NS like seating posture.
no choices for those looking to have cheap fun.

Sorry mate I don't agree to this. I myself being a R15 rider for 3.5 yrs with 35K kms and riding my friends NS200 as well makes me comment that NS is not upto R15 handling.
NS has striaght posture which makes it feel a great handler but when it comes to handling and stability at higher speeds R15 is awesome.
And one has to change the rear tyre of NS200 to get good handling!

My opinion might be opposite to you but this is what I feel and exp. Racing posture helps in better control for higher speed.


I would say only 30-35 % people, coz still in India people won't go for spending more than 1L just for looks, not all. ha ha ha please come with me mate, I'll show you, I know so many, might be even dozens of them who are completely noobs, if I ask one what is the power of this bike, he says 21BHP (bwaah), another doesn't know even to lube his chain, even though his chain is rusted, if asked him, he says will do it next time when I leave it for service, another spoke to him in the morning, he has put a TVS tire for his bike, another just wants chicks so he got it, etc., etc., etc., so many more examples from my side but eh let's not keep on speaking about this here. . .

Can't agree to this NS200 has better handling over R15, Sorry! R15 is a track focused machine, even if not rode, just looking at it, anyone will say it's a great handler cos people go by looks whereas NS on the other hand looks like a normal naked bike but it does have the capacity to take corners and to do that yes, we need better tires, . .

NS200 has power and rest all apart from FI and Fairing. If I had choice to go for a better power machine in 2010 I would have gone for NS200 in 1L. you got the point now, that's exactly true not all can afford for R15, Ninja, so it's a stepwise manner. . . and later today after almost 4 yrs I would have saved money for Ninja...
Today If any one ask me a bike with overall everything then I will suggest NS200 only, unless untill the owner is dead sure for fairing alone and fake blah blah stuff!! That as I said purely goes for the rider's choice, you and I like fairing fine, there are some who loves it naked, others cruising and some just want something to make their life easier. . .


Yes True to some extend!! But not all R15 owners, only 30% people I would say! Only 30% of the people know about all these, example given above. . .

Some where still in India people buy bike over average and cost, Looks are secondary here in India. Many a places it has been mentioned including auto magazines, what they said mainly was majority of Indian's first preference for a motorcycle is looks, rest all is secondary . . .

If before I buy Ninja 300 if P375 gets launched then I will surely go for that !! for me brand is not important, but the best in a price matters saving 2L straight. Errr ya same reason for me and few like me now brand isn't the main important thing and yes 200NS does have all that features and it comes in a good price tag and affordable for many. . .

I guess BAL will resort to it's regular parts bin for components, which means it will feature a the same clip-ons as the 200NS . In that case, we can always get aftermarket clip-ons to lower the handlebar height. That will be one easy and worthy mod.

The lower engine cowl (circled in red) is the worst design element with its boxy looks. A sleeker design (outlined in orange) could have complimented the overall edginess.

This is not the final design as it's been derived from the spy pics, unless the creator has seen the actual bikes. The fairing specially the lower part and cowl would be different as it cannot be seen in the spy pics, so its most probably a guess work.
