Where in the link did you read March 2015?

Hero MotoCorp, on Wednesday, unveiled five new models, including a 150cc diesel concept motorcycle and a hybrid scooter.

Terming the product unique, Mr. Munjal said the company would take time, and had not put a date for the launch of the vehicle.

and the remaining four would be launched in the current (Jan-March) quarter
The bold part means Jan-Mar 2014.

Thanks for the quoted text.

I think that was about the remaining 4 of the 15 models they had launched in October last year.

“Barring RNT (the 150 cc diesel concept bike), the remaining four models, will be launched in the next year. We plan to launch 150cc Xtreme Sports bike in the first quarter, 110cc scooter Dash in the second quarter and Leap (the hybrid scooter) and 250cc sports bike in the second half of the next fiscal,” Managing Director and CEO Pawan Munjal told reporters here."
They have clearly stated that the 250cc sports bike will only be launched in the next fiscal year. Am I right?
BTW, they said second half of next fiscal year... So that basically means, it'll be launched by the end of 2014? The next fiscal year starts on April 1st 2014. And they say it'll be launched in the second half of it. So October 2014 - March 2015?

Yes you are right. As fiscal year starts in April, most probably by this year they plan to launch 250CC.

there were no leaks because hero does not have an R&D facility yet...its under construction...so they did the development in the USA...i think all of the new ones..i.e RNT,Leap and the hixxer.may be the dash too

i think you are right abhi7013 I have read similar explanation for the EBR 1190RS when it was launched...it said that when disassembling the bike instead of taking out the engine from the frame...frame is removed and engine remains...something of that sort

Hero after splitting with Honda ( which is dreaming to be number one) in indias poised to change 2wheeler industry like Bajaj the are quiet innovative , hybrid scoot , diesel hybrid bike are exceptional innovation in country like like india I don't think even Japanese have this technology in 2 wheelers.
We hope these products are brought as early as possible in the market.
Proud to be indian,

Forget 250 CC. ET is reporting that Hero will unviel proto/concept bike with 600cc engine. The bike has similarities with Duke serise. Trellis frame, contours of petrol tank, headline and so on. So now its mid category which is hotting up. Rejoice with the choice.

This is some news. Hero is really going hard to gain back their lost respect and also trying to gain new territories at the same time.
Good times ahead for us bikers.

Erik Buell founded the company in November 2009 following the shutdown of his previous company, Buell Motorcycle Company, by parent company/majority stakeholder Harley Davidson. And EBR is a subsidiary of Hero Motorocorp. Currently Hero holds 49.2 stake of EBR. So we can expect some amazing products from HMC in upcoming days. So expecting some thing really better and different from Hero Motor Corp.

A Little OT here, though it is about Hero..

Hero to Unveil 600cc Streetfighter Concept at 2014 Auto Expo

Hero MotoCorp in another round of surprising the masses has been secretly working on a 600cc motorcycle codenamed “Hastur” and will be unveiling at the upcoming Auto Expo. According to ET, Hero MotoCorp is continuing its onslaught on the big wigs of high performance motorcycling by coming up with newer products. The front headlamps seem to be inspired by the current version of the Kawasaki Z1000 and the dual exhausts pips from the engine indicate the presence of a parallel twin engine. Other features such as bar end mirrors, wide and low profile tyres, and muscular looks seem to be some of the features that one can understand from looking at the picture above. The name Hastur according to wiki is “The Unspeakable One, Him Who Is Not to be Named” but for the motorcycling world this seems to be the next big thing to come, especially considering that the news from the stable of Hero MotoCorp. It was only recently that Hero MotoCorp unveiled 5 new products of which HX250R was an all new 250cc sportbike from their stable. With the unveiling of this new streetfighter/superbike concept at the Auto Expo it will officially put its step forward into the world of high performance motorcycling and compete with global leaders such as Honda (their previous technology partner), Suzuki, Kawasaki, KTM and Yamaha amongst many other manufacturers. It has been only 2 years since Hero MotoCorp and Honda parted ways but Hero seems to have well utilized the time with newer partnerships and product innovations for the global market. While there is no further information on, if and when this 600cc bike will be launched in India, we at Gaadi.com will keep you posted on the latest news and information on the Hastur, 600cc bike from Hero.

Quite enticing news lately about Hero. I will keep my expectations realistic about new models. Though any new motorcycle from Hero on a new engine platform will be very welcome, just like the HX250R. Hope to see more details soon about this new 250cc..... Hero has taken us by a pleasant surprise in the last one week, no doubt about that.
