is this really a production ready bike or just a concept?..because with 31ps and 28nm of torque from 250cc weighing just 139kgs of kerb weight ....really cant believe this...how did they produce 28nm and 31ps from a same engine(250cc) when the science says you have to sacrifice torque or ps and cant have both..
anyway if it is real respect for HERO helmets off..PS i chucked the idea of goin for ZMA after hero and Honda partd away

At last a stylish product from Hero too, though not over the top, at least they have reached the norm! Launch is next fiscal, specs are definitely good, but the pricing will be key. Saw some comments saying Bajaj would be shocked, really, I mean they have 4 bikes lined up in this category and got no reason at all to worry. If anything it is Hero that should be worried, this product comes with a complete new engine & tech for Hero, besides pricing is going to be a challenge as Bajaj-KTM has lots of lee way with it's 4 products. I guess for once Hero fans are excited and relieved that Hero didn't dump another crappy looking product on them with Honda engine

            UNBELIEVABLE .....
Seriously!!!! What was Hero doing all these years? Should have got rid of Honda long back.... For the first time, I saw a Hero bike with no flaws at all..... Guess my CBR on for sell now...

Now, with Hero back into the game with big bang and Suzuki announcing its arrival, all I can say is- Death knell for TVS....

              10/10 points for the HX250R.
I was also expecting a bike like this in 150CC segment. But same old Honda engine with a bit more bhp

The handlebars as we can see in the pics are a bit raised up, making it more of a sports tourer IMO but looks more focused towards sports overall than touring. . . The pulsar 375 will also be brought with a storm, with aggressive pricing and better features I guess. . . Let's keep our fingers crossed as the big day is coming soon . . .

With this, I am totally clueless, as one only knows when it is launched and test ridden, and that's the case with anything that is on wheels. And also it doesn't make any sense on me speculating how good I expect it to be. We all know, everyone knows the details, the pre spyshot gaga that was all over the web, this motorcycle created just with spyshots. So you can expect a worthy competitor, but for now it's raining HERO and let's all get drenched and rejoice.

                Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                THE END

IMO, you really don't have to sacrifice torque as a whole if you're targeting PS. The thing that will be sacrificed is the low end torque. In this case Hero have dropped the PS figures in favour of more usable torque down the band(expected from a sport tourer). If they had tuned the engine to make peak HP at 11000RPM like the Ninja (harder to do with a single pot), they would have generated more than 35PS with the 26Nm of torque they have now

I am bowled over by the swing arm. The front fairing could have been a tad shorter and wider. Apart from that the design is a bombshell.

Kudos Hero, no one saw that coming, most of us were busy figuring out P375/200SS
Not even one decent hint or a spy pic before unleashing a shocker.

                      HX250R 31bhp / 139kg

                      CBR250 25bhp / 165kg
                      Pulsar 200 24bhp / 145kg
                      Duke 200 25bhp / 129kg

Now only if they price it sensibly and the end product lives up to the specs We will have a huge problem in deciding the Bike of the Year

I don't think the price would be any less than 1.65 L₹.
And now, gone are the days when Cbr 250 was a vfm 250 cc bike or even a considerable choice now (25 PS can't take over 31 ps no matter what)

                        If it's priced less than 1.40 L₹ ,Bye bye pulsar 200ss(not ns) ,Yamaha r15 ,duke200 .

Everything is good about this bike. But why a shaded Wind Shield for a fully faired Sports bike ?

Awesome work by Hero. Kudos to the design team. Even the electric and the Wall-E looking bike look awesome. Definitely they have learnt a lesson from the 2014 ZMR version (which is worse than mahindra mojo).

On the negative side, the HX250R looks too tall from the front (esp. the visor) and no doubt they have badly placed the indicators. These two things are slightly messing up the looks.

But, all in all the product line up looks fab!!!

I think it will be around 1.5L, and fore sure this will give a good competition to CBR 250 and the upcoming P 200 SS

HX 250R is surprisingly good work from hero but i guess they are little bit late in launching it because this bike got a tough competition with NINJA 250SL...
