and here i was half expecting another iteration - a superer splendour, an extremer CBZ, a plus plus passion when wham, Hero springs the HX250R on us.
the server to XBHP was busy for more than an hour !!!

the sub 300cc segment will turn into a warzone and this beauty from Hero has caught the others napping.
no rumors, zero leaks, not even an "in the wild" photo of HX250R unlike some others who have been tempting us for months now and Bam !!!

Take a Bow Hero, well deserved hype on this one.

It was really irritating and initially I thought the site has been blocked by our Network Security team then I realized it is not so when I saw that it is actually inaccessible from my mobiles too.

something to really rejoice and a befitting answer to Honda/ktm/bajaj..so will the new karizma have this engine or the older 225cc with puny 17-18bhp?
and any news on new impulse with a bigger engine?

The weird thing that I find with Hero is, they launch new splendor and passions in America where as they launch mean 250cc sports bike in India. It may be good but doesn't seem fitting.

IMO new splendor and passions in America will be very good for business providing home delivery services.

To add to it, first they are going to launch the HX250R in India and then maybe export it to US and sell it there too..

and at the moment, Chinese delivery guys use a scooter which will cost more than the splendors and now the splendors will be a good replacement for those guys like you have mentioned

Looking forward to more pics from other angles and would like to see how the tail and the tail light looks. Would love to see how that underseat exhaust looks from the back.

god!and the expo has not even started yet...

The Refreshed Karizma siblings are more powerful than the current models. well atleast by ~2 bhp improvement and hopefully, the weight reduction too which will add to its performance. to my eyes, the new ZMR looks good from certain angles and in few angles Ugly.. but again, only time can tell after seeing the bike in flesh

Na. Splendour is Indian proprietary delivery vehicle. I think folks in Indonesia use Ninja 250 for that purpose. For Americans, they just hate bikes. They use V8 cars for delivery services.

Now looking at HX I don't think the improvements on karismas would be just 2 bhps. New karismas don't have Honda engine any more right?

31 PS and 28Nm those are Moto3 spec bikes. This is going to be a hooligan of a bike if Hero manages to keep the same specs for its production bike as well.

Lets wait and see.

How come there is not a single shot from any of the sites with its rear end. Everyone wants clarification on the Underseat / Underbelly exhaust confusion, If its an under seat exhaust what is that under the rear brake pedal, it looks like a canister and it also seems to have an outlet.

Prices expected to be 1.5l on road , without combi-brakes and ABS.

The Karizma siblings are using the same Engines. They are a bit tweaked and the Spec sheet are out already. The ZMR will be producing ~20bhp. I don't recollect the exact figures and the Karizma will be producing a little less than the ZMR.. and with less weight compared to the current models, they will have better performance. but again, only Time can tell

Lovely surprise from Hero, totally unexpected. Hero have announced their entry into the performance scene with a bang. I hope the performance is as good as it sounds.

Anyone see similarities with the Karizma anywhere? I'm trying to figure out if they've started from scratch or extensively re engineered the Karizma mill. The front forks look familiar and what is visible of the engine does somewhat remind me of the Karizma.

Check this pic out. You will know where the Exhaust is

the Rear Brake pedal is a normal pedal..

Moto3 bikes make more than 50 hp. Not to mention the bike+rider weight is ~150kg in moto3. Almost as much as HX250R alone. Absolutely no comparison what so ever.
