As if hero was waiting for every other companies to show there cards and made them look dumb with a Triple ace in hand.
Good surprise after an ugly joke with karizma and I believe everyone still trusts the hero engines like they did before with honda .
Hope they wont break this trust.
Waiting for the first test ride.

No clue. That's the only question, the answer to which will decide the fate of this beast.

Simply amazed to see these products from hero. They just took out everyone by surprise. I'm very happy to see an Indian manufacturer to bounce back with such amazing products. The HX looks neat. Simple lines and not at all overdone. Things like these are what makes the foreign companies tremble and come up with more good stuff. We as a customer benefit alot. Just look at the bikes we had 2 years back and the surplus options available now.

          I simply loved the DRLs.

Divorce with honda and marrying ebr are great steps taken towards the welfare of Indian bikers by Hero. Nice..

What would be the seating position?
I just hope that it has a Sporty tourer position like the CBR250 or at least like the P220 & not the upright position like the Karizma !!
Also does it have a clip-on handlebar? i believe it does! And it doesn't look like it would be having a aggressive position like the r15!

The initial strong emotional response by almost all is quite expected and natural. And the reasons are quite obvious as well. For the first time after the first Karizma launch in 2003, HERO has come out with a motorcycle worthy of being the company's flagship in every sense. That's a decade of time! Over the years, even while making extremely good and competitive motorcycles, Hero has been the subject of jokes more than anything else.

Over the years, Bajaj has developed itself into a serious motorcycle manufacturer and now especially with KTM, they have started to earn respect from even the non believers while Hero continued to refresh its motorcycles without actually providing something new. Even the bettered Karizma, in the form of ZMR, didn't really hit the right cords for many.

While all products unveiled today are important for HERO, I would like to talk about the HX250R (obviously!). This is the most important launch for Hero ever given the fact that they are into an image makeover after the split from HONDA. Lot's of questions need to be answered and lots of assurances need to be delivered. In order to enter the 200+ CC market, Hero needed not just a competitive product but something that catches everyone's attention. And at least on paper, Hero has more than delivered. 31PS from 250 single is more than competitive in every respect. What Hero has done is not just delivered a competitive motorcycle, but the one that shall keep every motorcycle upto 250cc in check. KTM Duke 200, the upcoming RC 200 and Pulsar 200 SS all are taken care of as far as the spec sheet is concerned. And that's a very promising start. Ofcourse, it has to be seen how it delivers on the road but everything looks promising so far.

Hero-EBR has delivered a motorcycle that looks worthy of their partnership. And like an all new product should be, it is completely away from any motorcycle Hero has ever launched. The swingarm, especially, looks radical and the horizontally mounted rear shocker is a first in an Indian motorcycle. These small details highlight and cement the fact that effective engineering has gone into the development of this motorcycle. It's different and the whole package looks absolutely modern and promising. Also, being India's largest and one of the most experienced motorcycle manufacturer, Hero should hopefully deliver on the quality and reliability on its own without Honda. Hero knows this and we shall see.

The strong positive reaction is because that no one expected a motorcycle like this from Hero. This is a surprise. There were no spy shots, no camouflaged pics of this motorcycle. This is a fantastic secret that Hero kept from us all along. Ofcourse, we all shall see how much of the specs reflect in the on-road performance and how much reliable it will be but without doubt it looks promising and that's a very good start.

Hero now surely deserves an applaud from us.

Wow! A mind blowing surprise from Hero!! After seeing the recently launched bikes, I never thought such a good looking and technically advanced bike would come out of Hero, anytime soon. They deserve an ovation. I just hope they do a similar technical upgrade on the Impulse too.

Very glad to see the HX250R from Hero. Competition is always a great thing and hero being hero, I think we can expect competitive pricing as well. Gotta praise them a lot for launching something like this after some of the 'not so promising' launches of the past. Flexibility is what you need in this diverse India and they certainly have it .

                      Banggggggggggg...........!!!!!!!!!

I always expect good things from Hero. Hero is a trend setter right from the start. They put India on motorcycles with spledour. They introduced 150cc segment in India and then they gave legendary ZMA to India which was the best bike at that time with many unseen features in India like DC set up, alloy wheels, fairing, digital odometer, fuel gauge and the most important thing was 17bhp 223cc engine. I respect hero for whatever they have delivered till date but now people should salute hero for this effort.

Its a earth shattering start considering the amount of time which they have consumed for developing this 250cc mill after their divorce with honda. I am sure this bike will mark hero's presence in global market as well. I am more than eager to see that moment in 250cc shootouts where HX250r will start leaving honda behind or I should say it will beat cbr every other day from now onwards.

I knew they will explode badly as they tied up with not just 1 but 4 brands. It will definitely give sleepless nights japs and other Indian brands. One should give credit to hero who created this 250cc single cylinder gem with 31 bhp whereas technical giant like honda recently upgraded cbr250's displacement by 50cc to increase its power which show the amount of effort, innovation and expertize they put in creating this 250cc engine.I know its not feasible to compare it with ninja but still i would like to mention the fact that it produces only 2 bhp less than twin cylinder 250cc ninja.

All in all its a mind-blowing effort from hero.
                      Thumbs up to hero....

I don't think Hero will price HX250R more than Honda CBR250, basically what I'm trying to say is that we should get this bike at mouth watering price
