Quite a times frustrating but can be overcome atlast with the bike

And I think you must be on your way already saving for R25. best of Luck! Same here!
Right now r15 is keeping me calm so not much frustration. only on highways sometimes i get frustrated of not having a 250cc

      Pros about RC:
      373cc engine
      Might cost lower than r25
good power, better than r25 (obvious isnt it with a 123cc more)
      headlights look promising with projectors
      light weight than r25

      cons:
1.All out sporty design, which means to forget the comfort. people complained about r15v2 i am sure they will do the same here
2.almost no rear seat. which means pillion constraints and also problems for guys who also want to tour on this. very debatable issues because not many would want to take a pillion but when they want to its gonna be a issue, same like r15 but here its extreme. and guys who want to tour will have problems with luggage and all. now we can say who would want to tour on this, and thats exactly my point.
3.known issues with D390 which people dont want in RC. now we have to wait for that for bike to be launched.
      4. personally i didnt like the console and does not give premium look, kind cost cutting already. but it has good features.
      5. 10L tank capacity

      Pros with r25:
1.50-50 weight distribution, which means better for your writs and body
      2. pillion seat is better than RC, which means people would want to sit on this rather than RC
      3. good power.
      4. better headlights than r15.
      5. decent console
      6. touring capabilities.
      7. Yamaha quality is well known.
      8. 14.3 lit tank capacity

      cons:
1.might cost more than RC. this is the only thing we all are hell bent on discussing from long time. sorry i dont see any other con. please add to it.

Nice list there Ron, Among them some significant pros and cons which might affect public decision making would be

      RC Pros
      Price
      Torquey
      Better Tyres
      ABS
Display console has loads of info
      Trellis frame - sharper handling
      Light weight
      Mid range power

      Cons
Vibey because of large single cylinder
      Tank capacity 10L
      Non existent pillion seat

      Yammie Pros
      Its Yamaha!
Twin cylinder - Better top end rush
      Refinement
      Comfortable riding posture
      Better Gas range
      Quality
      Looks (subjective)
      Revv happiness

      Cons
ABS (Didnt read anywhere if its available, correct me if i'm wrong)
With pillion performance might suffer greatly due to lesser torque (compared to D390)
More gearshifts required to keep in steam
      Cost
      Heavier
      Fun Starts at Redline!!!

thanks for those BOLD part. wonder how i missed them.

wont comment on the handling till both bikes are ridden. i am guessing they will behave differently on the conditions. just like an Xbhpian was explaining the other day (forgot the name).

Exactly. We don't want a product finished in a hurry. When we can wait for so long, we can easily for another few months.

Mr. Ron Syl has already saved for the R25. He will surprise by being one of those first R25ers in B'lore. Don't get misled by his view.

Yamaha should have provided ABS as optional. That would be great. But surprisingly both N300 and R25 doesn't have them. Don't know why?

Yamaha has started the delivery just two days back, if I'm not wrong. So reviews are on their way.

Mate when Yamaha doesn't wants their top litre class bike the R1 to have ABS, why would they even wanna smaller ones to have them?? Just my thought

@All: I saw an N300 on the road for the first time. I almost mistook it for the 650.
Going by the dimensions, R25 is almost as long, slightly wider and taller.
So get prepared guys, we're looking at a BIG bike compared to R15 V1 or even V2 for that matter.

My personal opinion is many V1 owners will keep both, while V2 owners may mostly swap.

                Others, your thoughts please.

Yes. The launch may get delayed to 2015 but anyhow, the R&D testing has just started in India. SO it'll take atleast 6 months to complete the testing phase and then only Yamaha will launch R25. So we're looking towards 1st quarter of 2015.

Yes. We're all prepared. BTW, N300 is not that big compared to R15 V2. I have ridden both and didn't feel that big difference in case of dimensions.

And, being a V2 owner, I can say that I'm retaining my bike. Not even the thought of selling my bike has crossed my mind once.

Damn, this wait is excruciating. I hope they don't hit snags of any kind for the India release and it happens before the end of the year even if deliveries start next year. I absolutely love the R15 stance and compact sportiness while riding. I have visited Yamaha showroom thrice during this past year and every time almost deciding to book the R15 and the only thing holding me back is the R25.

Good disc brakes are enough and ABS is not that critical for bikes but it definitely helps if present in certain conditions. I'm not really bothered about it as R25 might be pricey even without that option.

Even i have mistook ninja300 for the 650 when its being ridden, especially the front doom and headlights. not from the side but. sat on it and felt a little bigger than r15, the tank actually. even the cbr250r has that big bike feeling so naturally i am expecting the r25 to give a big bike feeling. be ready to feel the front doom to be small compared to r15 because of the design. the r15 is broad and r25 is a little narrow.

ABS helps when a dog suddenly jumps infront of you and you were not very attentive on the road and slammed the brakes and get away from hitting it and not falling. but if you were attentive enough and know how to tackle that situation with correctly applying the brakes and avoiding hitting the dog and still not fall or skid.
there are riders who have faced both situations. you either develop the technique without using the artificial braking system which will help you on any bike (most of the times yes) or you rely on ABS all the time and when you ride other non ABS bikes you will face problems when you panic brake.

Please note: i am not defending r25 or ninja300 not having ABS. my view was solely on the rider capabilities. personally i would like to have optional ABS if it was available.

Awesome quality and refinement. Worried about the handlebar shakes in the mid corners from time 7:51 onwards . Never experienced anything like this on R15. It is due to the wrong riding habit of the guy riding? more over it is seen only on the tighter and slower corners so it may be due to wrong riding habit of a rider(I hope ).

Ninja 300 is big no doubt , i read some where R25 is is bigger almost similar to 600cc not finding the source of article now.
anyway i have GT250R and its bigger than all of them, ofcourse it has advantage of big but the same advantage is also problem.
i still have R15 V1 with me , it feels like small bike now.

I think the issue with Camera mounting on tank. if you see the frame between 7:28 to 7:33 where bike just start to go.
