Re: Yamaha R25 Launched in Indonesia
as it seems to me, it could be that the front's wobbling a little bit, perhaps due to some fairly strong cross winds that might have been there while this video was being made, or perhaps because he was pushing really hard and fast at the corners..however the latter didnt seem to be the case in the video (it appeared to me that he was cornering very moderately, nothing really fast or exciting), so it's probably the cross winds.Originally posted by imrandkhan View PostWorried about the handlebar shakes in the mid corners from time 7:51 onwards
. Never experienced anything like this on R15.
i am surprised you havent ever experienced a bit of wobbling whilst cornering :-) any bike will sometimes have that bit of wobbling at cornering either due to cross winds or because the rider was really pushing and attempting really hard/fast cornering which sometimes causes a bit of wobble, due to rider pushing hard enough that the front's somewhat near to its limit..sometimes it's also typically due to the small uneven-ness of the road underneath...it's a natural thing, and i happen to love it, gets my adrenaline flowing even more and tests a bit of my bike control skill as well as how much comfortable i can be letting the bike naturally move under me :P
all this under the assumption that nothing is wrong with the bike itself that is making it wobble unreasonably..uneven tyre surface profile caused by an uneven tyre wear can also cause it, also very low or very high tyre pressure is another possible reason, damaged coneset is another standard reason...none of these is certainly the case with a brand new R25 being tested.
btw i must add i am not necessarily sure the handlebar shaking in the video is due to natural wobbling of the front...because at times it appears to be literally vibrating in a way not so much reminding me of how a bike's front feels under a bit of wobbling.Last edited by aditya_YZF-R15; 06-04-2014, 11:53 PM.

Re: Yamaha R25 Launched in Indonesia
Exactly... its about the feel. This feel factor is one main thing that has made me and many other riders like me to wait for this bike for almost 3 years now. I personally wish R25 does not have any such issue coz whenever it comes to India, I am gonna have one. Crosswinds can be an issue 1 or two times but video showing it multiple times. And crosswind will cause entire bike to disturb its trajectory over the corner and not just a front wheel and handle bar. Wobble is a sign of instability. One possibility is that this rider is trying to hold the handle bar tight on the corner or a bumpy track surface on cornersOriginally posted by aditya_YZF-R15 View Postbtw i must add i am not necessarily sure the handlebar shaking in the video is due to natural wobbling of the front...because at times it appears to be literally vibrating in a way not so much reminding me of how a bike's front feels under a bit of wobbling.
. I hope one of us is true and R25 doesn't compromise on the feel factor.
I believe I can fly...

Re: Yamaha R25 Launched in Indonesia
According to tmcblog.com YZF-R25 preliminary/concept bike has max 40hp (29 kW @ 12,000 rpm) power on crank. Power has been decrease due to the many factors i.e. fuel quality, better mileage etc.Originally posted by JitenMistry View PostTabloid automotive team have done performance test (drag race) of Ninja 250FI, Ninja RR Mono, New CBR250R and YZF R25 and the outcome of the test is very impressive for YZF R25 fans.

Re: Yamaha R25 Launched in Indonesia
you cant have concept bike power for a road bike. main reason being engine life. forget about the other factors. its not called power reducing BTW, the road engines are the right ones, where as in race and concept bikes they max it out making it look like modified.Originally posted by JitenMistry View PostAccording to tmcblog.com YZF-R25 preliminary/concept bike has max 40hp (29 kW @ 12,000 rpm) power on crank. Re: Yamaha R25 Launched in Indonesia
True, but what site is pointing here is that the same engine (pls. note that the concept engine and production engine material and quality are same) can capable to produce 40ps pick power. If power can reduce via tuning and it can be increase at max level.Originally posted by Ron Syl View Postyou cant have concept bike power for a road bike. main reason being engine life. forget about the other factors. its not called power reducing BTW, the road engines are the right ones, where as in race and concept bikes they max it out making it look like modified.

lol pretty much same thing i said but different perspectiveOriginally posted by JitenMistry View PostTrue, but what site is pointing here is that the same engine (pls. note that the concept engine and production engine material and quality are same) can capable to produce 40hp pick power. after buying the bike you can do performance mods and get that figure
just like its done for r15 .
PS: are you sure it was 40hp and not 40bhp?

Re: Yamaha R25 Launched in Indonesia
thats 39.5 bhp. where as the r25 (production) has 36bhp but the dyno says 32.26hp. so going by that we might expect around 36hp of the concept bike. so getting 36hp max out of r25 after mods.Originally posted by JitenMistry View PostIt's 40 PS (29 kw) written in website.'On the Road that never ends...'

Re: Yamaha R25 Launched in Indonesia
1) R25 production version max power is 36PS=35.5BHP=26.5KV (????????????250cc?????????YZF-R25? ???????????? - ?????? | ?????????? ????)
2) About the dyno it was (32.26BHP=32.7PS=24.1KW) rear wheel power not crank.
3) I think max it will be reach at 34BHP or 35BHP rear wheel power after tuning.

Not at allOriginally posted by Ron Syl View Postyou are confusing yourself

1) <-- 36PS power is on crank not on real wheel (real wheel it may between 32 to 33 PS)2) <-- after tuning it may reach at 35.5 or 36 PS on real wheel thus it on crank power it may be close to 40 PS
Hope now this will be clear confusion.
