My question to you, How you feel about fuel tank when you ride? since R15 v1 have metal tank, does it feel different?
It feels bigger in size when seen from any angle(when not sitting on the bike). As soon as you hop on the bike, it feels sleek and will fit in-between your legs just like on the R15.

I haven't seen R3 personally, but in the pictures it look unfinished some area (especially below rider seat and footsteps. what your observation?
Well, nothing that has caught my eye till now. Did check for any minor scrathes in detail before taking the delivery, but dint find any unfinished spots. Yes, there is a small line seen, where the matt centre portion of the tank meets the painted section which felt like a panel gap at first, but that was wax polish left overs. (will double check it tonight to confirm it.)

How is plastic quality in compare with R15 v1?

My God !! So much discussion for R3. Good that I made a fantastic decision. Well completed around 350 kms on my R3 and till now I'm only smiling. This bike perfectly suits my needs. Like cruising at a good speed for Indian roads, good handling, not as crisp as R15 or RC390, as it is not intended also, and nice flickability. I didn't have to try hard to switch weights at the corners. Bike is fantastic in choc-a-bloc traffic, people from B'lore will know that for sure. I being a 5'7" and not so physically strong person, never felt any need of strength while riding/manoeuvring the bike through the ugliest traffic. So being not overly bulky is good for the bike to be termed as 'Everyday Superbike'. Well coming to the looks department, getting stared is not a common phenomenon for R3. People who knows stare at it and admire the beauty but people who don't know doesn't. This is actually good from being asked repeated questions from people and also from unwanted attention. I always wanted people to stare at my R15 but after getting a costlier bike I don't want the same for R3. It's better for people like us but for posers it'll certainly be a not-so-good thing. Acceleration and braking are both linear. Though I think the brakes could be a bit better which may be changed using metal braided lines. Personally I felt the R3 exhaust to be a bit more heavy than N300. Overall I'm too happy with the bike and I'm going to stick for it for many years down the line. And yes it's very comfortable and long distances will be a more enjoyable thing now.

Handling & service charge 3000.

May I know what is this? There is no special/handling blah blah charge on any vehicle sold in India (as per law). How you deal with the SVC is in your hands, but its fraud!
Get in touch with Yamaha and ask them if they authorize the same.

Got the delivery of my Black Beast yesterday evening. First impressions, din't take any more thn a couple of kms to get used to the riding stance or the weight or the power delivery of the R3.

I'm not entirely convinced with this reply. You as a customer who is putting down X amount of money has all rights to get the correct info. I'd still ask you to get it clarified from Yamaha India so that no doubts linger in the mind later.

I am so sorry for going OT. I couldn't find any separate thread so poseted here don't beat me please but I couldn't resist putting a little more info.

Yesterday I went to a Yamaha showroom in Baroda to enquire about R3. Also I asked the showroom guy about new R 15 being launched. Showroom guy confirmed that new R15 with "flat seat like older version" (the exact words he used) will be launched. The bike will have fatter tyre (probably like v2.0). He showed 3 photos of the bike in his computer and the photos posted here are same as those. But he didn't have any information about the prce and launch time.

And congo for those who already took delivery of R3.
