Congrats Karan, Looks stunning. Next time, in a different location [/QUOTE]
Hahaha, was just waiting for someone to notice the background. even i noticed that only when i saw the pics myself. at the showroom was too occupied by the bike to notice anythin else. Thanks once again buddy.
I see Benelli 600i stock exhausts in your profile pic. Already in your garage, or coming soon?

Nah, i dont think so, Bangalore got it before Mumbai did. So guessing Bangalore xbhp members must be first in queue. Doesnt make any difference, does it?

Moderators, please give him the honour of first owner under Ownership Threads.
If initial owners are of any help to prospective buyers thn sure, ownership thread is awaited.

btw, Swastika is reverse(anticlockwise), no? Swastik is perfectly alright bro.

Those who own/tested R3...it has a more upright seating position compared to R15 and others?

Seems it was 17th R3 delivered in Bangalore.

Sri you better stop checking your bike and stop looking into every hook and corner of the bike, just ride and share your feelings macha.

It has much comfortable position even compared to R15v1 or v2.
Relaxed in terms of seating positing, holding handle bars and even foot position is comfortable and less straining.

That rear end requires a fender eliminator, stat.

But it'd bless our backs with muck. :\

Yeah the R6 is on sale there and costs somewhere in the 30 lakh area i heard. The stupendous tax multiplies our prices by 3 times. No R1 sold for obvious reasons.

Have you had the confusion of the color ? Blue over Black or vice versa?

Also have you thought about getting Ninja 300 since the price difference is marginal? Have you compared them in person?

                      Here you go..!!

                      M 5.10...,
                      R3 looks a bit smaller i believe.
Was lucky enough to get the test ride of both..
The green is anytime better than blue..can be identified from anywhere, you dont need to search your bike in the parking lot
The cuts and looks of r3 are better, though no complains with the Ninja.

Somewhere felt the ninja 300 is more crispier in terms of sound than r3.
The R3 needs less space than ninja to take a u turn.
Felt a minor wrist pain in r3 while driving it in the traffic, was not the case in Ninja though, not sure if it was the case due to less tyre pressure that it was being heavy.
Ninja gives u more feel of a big bike while driving, feels a bit heavier.

Price diff in Pune between both the bikes is around 30k.
If u r on finance, the same can be covered in the difference in the roi of diff finance companies.

I hope i resolved queries of many of u.. though I am still confused between both.
                      Have you fixed yet?
How do you find the plastic quality of both bikes? As I understand Ninja has metal tank and quality plastic as I have seen it in real against the all plastic body of R3?

Didn't find any noticeable difference in plastic quality compared to N300, i remember someone mentioning switch gear is not good quality, but in reality its as good as R15 if not better. And R15's switch gear is already very good in terms of quality. Personally I found panels on the left and right of the tank bit over worked, two panels could have been made one and would have been more strong. But there must defiantly be some design reason behind it.

Got my bike today.Hyd on road price is 3.75lacs.
Due to night pic qlty is poor.
Drove the bike for 5kms, power is very linear compared to RC390 which has all the power right from the word Go. Back brake is not that sharp unlike the front one.
Am not too impressed with the Headlight brightness esp on Low beam, will definitely upgrade the horn at 1st service.
Gears are too smooth & in no time hit the 6th gear at 45 kmph.
                          Will post more details soon.

Thank you bro. Yea I considered the ninja at one point of time, but crossing the 4lakh barrier was an idea I was not comfortable with. Always thought that might as well jump in for the benelli 600i instead. And Secondly and a debatable point, kawasaki having roots with Bajaj. Made me stick to the Yamaha for the second time..
It was more of a fight between Benelli T300 and the Yamaha R3 for me, but being an Indian, the love for full faired bikes was just too strong to convince myself for the benelli.
Regarding the colour, noupes, black was always the first choice for me. An all black garage is my idea of a beautiful garage. May b a 600i in black in the future would complete the stable!

                                Update Day4:
160kms completed. Mostly highway riding but within city limits. Rode my R15 and R3 back to back on the same day, that's when u feel the more comfortable riding position of the R3. Tires from my personal observation, are capable of handling commuting duties with ease and for people who like to scrap their knees even on streets ,these MRF's will do just that provided they are in prime condition. That's just a Prima Facie though..
Also, if anyone's wondering about,"Kitna Deti Hai", i've managed an display indicated 4.6L/100kms=21.79kmpl during these 160kms so far. Considering, all my frnds and cousins have tried their hands on the families first twin cylinder, decent enough right..??
Yamaha haven't started any promotions, hoarding, TV commercials for the R3, yet pple are aware about this bike and getting more glares with each passing day. Conclusion: It has a definite road presence even in the Black Shade, the exhaust note plays a fair enough role in attracting eyes.. Haven't crossed the 4.5k rpm deadline yet(actually its 5k), but manages to sail smoothly at 73-75kmph at these revvs.. More of it to follow soon..

Now time for a bit of negative: Owners, have you observed that on the low beam, its the RH light that remains On at all times, which acc to me should be the LH light playing that role. I understand that its the US that this bike retails in where this setting is justified, but when sold in India it should be the opposite. Also, on the R15, its the LH headlight that turns on, and the RH acting as a highbeam or passing light.! Please correct me if wrong.
The owners manual has not arrived at my dealership. Is it just dealership specific or others have not received it as well? So can't do any DIY's just yet.
I've also found one of my Forks(Rh one to be precise) to be leaking oil, a replacement oil seal is on its way.! Not to amplify the problem any further, its a machine after all, first lot of production, earlier the rectification, the better for others as well..! Hope this is just my bike and not related to the whole production lot.!

I'll try to updates the Positives and negatives as and when found so that potential owners can benefit and make the correct choice. Till thn, Cheers, Ride Safe..!
