Last para says: To begin with, DSK-Benelli will launch its Tornado Naked Tre (or TNT) superbikes that include the in-line, 2cyl TNT 302, in-line/4cyl TNT 600 i and GT, in-line/3cyl TNT 899 and TNT 1130 R. Prices will be revealed two months from now when these motorcycles will be officially launched in India. However, expect the TNT 302 to cost around Rs 4 lakh, the 600cc bike close to Rs 9 lakh, going up to Rs 13 lakh for the TNT 899 and Rs 18 lakh for the TNT 1130 R (on-road).

Thats no cheap pricing. Every company aims for as much profit as possible from these premium bikes. You will always feel the price is high unless it is completely made in India like the KTM bikes.

Guess the premium bike segment isn't as price sensitive as assumed. I have seen people making big ticket purchases like DaytonaR, Street Triple, z800, z1000, exchanging Harley bikes twice thrice in a short span.

Economy is booming so are people buying without giving much of a concern for pricing. This is not going to change.

Do you really think that would be the pricing. Then there is no room for something so called "Competitive pricing". It waaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy over the mark. But being a CKD, I guess it will less. BN600 should be ~6L OTR

Yeah at 9 Lacs already there are better machines available in Street and Z800, so to attract buyers they got to price around 6 lacs for their Inline four-600 cc bikes (head on with Kawasaki 650's)...

Its good to remain optimistic. Just for discussion sake let me remind you a similar situation 2-3 years back. DSK was to launch GT250R. Ninja 300 was already in the market. People as usual expected DSK to launch GT250 at throw away price, rightly assuming Japanese commands premium over Korean. What happened? Was GT250 priced cheap?

Same happened with GT650R. But here they priced it higher than Ninja 650. What does this suggest? DSK gives a damn to Kawasaki and thinks people are willing to pay for its big bikes.

With Benelli situation isn't any better. DSK thinks it can launch Benelli as an exotic here. I really hope people are not disappointed again. Only Bajaj seems to be the saviour.

There is nothing about optimism here dude. GT650R in Chennai is still less than N650. And being a 600 I-4 (CKD, Italian..etc etc) Priced at that rate, People will go for Z800 no doubt. My only reason I am staying away from Z800 is the OTR. If BN600 is going to be priced similar to Z800...My money is for the Kwacker. Considering the news Honda is gonna bring CBR650F, I guess DSK-Benelli guys are definitely scrubbing their brains out to get a demanding price.

Bro, when gt650 was initially launched it was 5000 more than Ninja. Then they started local assembly. Still price is not substantially lower than Ninja 650. There is hardly 30-40000 difference. If DSK thought like we did, then the price of GT 650 would and should have been much lower. No company thinks its product is inferior and pricing is a way to show that.

Not many reviews of the bikes, but, from what I have read the service intervals are not that great and the bike is prone to a lot of minor issues with electricals.

I think benelli tnt 600 and suzuki inazuma's head lamps are designed by the same guy. Its look like somebody has copied it from the other....

From what I have heard, the prices are going to be extremely aggressive.

Also two questions for everyone. How much are u willing to pay for an inline 4 cylinder, 82ps powered machine i.e 600S? And what should be pricing ideally for BN 302 in our market?

For me BN600 should be priced under 6 L OTR considering the price of GT650 which is also assembled by DSK. So, if its under 6L OTR, I would definitely go for this than the ER-6N. But one thing I need to confirm is the parts reliability as Benelli is totally new to Indian market and its doesn't like to be driven smooth as the power numbers comes out at Higher rpm, which is little bad.

Also to mention, the Torque output is not high as compared to N650 or ER-6N or GT650. But again , it comes at high rev. I guess you don't get a chance to drive in city easily.
