Re: Yamaha Starts Dealer Training For R25

Well here is some concrete news for you all. On February 24, Yamaha has imported parts for 40 units of R25/R3.

    Here's a visual proof:

I have just put the headlight part catalog image here, because there is no other bike that will use it apart from the R25/R3 but there are many other parts. Search Zauba for "1WD" in HS code 8714 and see the results.
The Yamaha R25 is codenamed 1WD internally and its spare part catalogs can be downloaded from here: Part Catalogue: Yamaha Genuine Parts - Suku Cadang Asli Yamaha Motor Indonesia

Note that I cannot find engine components in the import data yet so it could be the R3.
Also, Zauba's data is 48 hours behind actual imports so the remaining components may show up tomorrow/later.

        ^From import data at Zauba.com

Also, I have found that the R25 graphics are among the imported parts:

Seems to be the R25 then.

But, the r3 is almost the same as the r25, so I'd imagine that both would share many of the same parts along with the same respective part numbers, still hoping for a localised r3.

Would prefer the R3 instead of the 25, given both will be priced pretty close to each other.

And i am back after hibernation of many months.

Latest from my side is that be ready for either R25/R3 in next 2 months. before april end you will know which of the 2 is coming to india and when. i obviously cant disclose my resource but he is the best that i know of. got call from him today. most of the dealers are having meeting with yamaha india in mid of april about the launch.

FYI it will be a CBU if launched early :/

Interesting! though I'm only interested in the R3, the R25 isn't worth it, especially with the two variants of the 390, also the N300 and the Benelli due soon. Stupid move if it's the R25 as both bikes cost virtually the same to manufacture and localisation of a majority of the parts should be easy enough, given that the R15 has proven pretty durable and reliable.

I am ok with either of the both, obviously R3 is better of the both i just hope r3 is priced lesser than N300, since N300 has been in my list from long time for upgrade. its just r25-r3 holding me back. As of now my requirement is comfortable touring with good power, and r25 fits that. will keep updating as and when i get the details

Had been to Yamaha last weekend, and the Manager said, R25 will be launched in this month. He said the dealers got an official notification from yamaha regarding the launch. Half of March is over and I dont think we can trust their words.

R25 or R3, which ever is launched, will be fun to ride, and as always will have sorted handling and dynamics of a Yamaha. I ride a Ninja 300, and I too waited for them to launch. For someone looking for quality offering in 250 to 400 cc range, they will have a good option apart from the Ninja.

yes, most dealers are saying these stuff (from 3 months actually) so that they start with booking amount to get more customers to book the bike. its pretty much solid that April mid is when yamaha is having the dealers meeting. give me time till weekend. will try to get more info on this.

lol i had almost forgotten that i had told that

yes that weekend all i got to know again was i have to wait til april 18th to have clear idea about r25 or r3. meanwhile i got to know that r1 2015 will be about 26L and R1M will be 34L ex showroom in india. also chances are that MT series (the big ones) will be here by year end. all this is part of the 7 bikes (including 1 scooter and 1 125 cc bike) that yamaha has planned to launch here. i am guessing scooter, 125cc bike, r3, r1, r1m, mt07 and mt09.

But 125cc bike ? A commuter or on the lines of r125 ?

And r1 prices are over the roof.. Whatever, i wasn't going to buy one anyway anytime soon [emoji14]

125cc is commuter. yamaha had told this last year itself.

If you see, the r1 prices are justified even though its over the roof.
PS: as of now there is no training going on for any bike.
